Cross border Taliban raid goes terribly right

This headline from our fearless leader Dr. Rusty Shackleford!

At least three Pakistani soldiers and eight Taliban militants were killed Friday when terrorists launched cross-border attacks from Afghanistan on training facilities of the frontier troops in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said. “Terrorists from across the Pak-Border attempted physical attack on Pak FC (Frontier Constabulary) Post in Khyber Agency,” said a military statement, adding that six militants and two soldiers were also killed in the exchange of fire.
Its unclear if the first three Pakistani soldiers were killed fighting with or against the Taliban.

A common area of confusion in Pakistan. Who on the one hand feeds the Taliban and uses them, and on the other hand doesn't want their favorite pets to get too uppity and take over.

1 i do not know these province names,
so i cannot tell if the raids happened
in Pakistan or in India.

i haven't time or inclination to do that
auto-didactic geography thing this morning.
All that is important is that it is, for now,
still happening far away.
