Like Bookends of a Sh*t Sandwich

Here is Barack Obama's very last speech to the DNC as president.

So Barack Obama gave a speech in 2004 that made him president in my opinion, it was that good. This is also a good speech. But that connection only comes through in his campaigns, as President he seldom if ever spoke like that to the people. He never looked that relaxed and confident.

The thing I call him on is this, He said something that America is more liked and respected in the world now than when he took office. That's very debatable. I tend to disagree. It can't be as if every. single. criticism. of the Obama Administration is false now can it.

Also I fear the Democrats may have set themselves up for a big letdown tonight. Hillary will have a tough time following Bill's speech, Biden's speech and Obama's speech without the audience noting she's just not that good.

So expect it to go out with a fizzle there. And balloons of course.

So anyone else thing Obama looked all happy because he knows that now Hillary will be blamed for every singe thing that happened during his tenure, she'll face a long hard campaign, Wiki Leaks, yahda yahda yahda.

Michelle is measuring for new curtains. He walks out scot free.

Update: I'll add the rest of the speeches from last night below the fold. The Biden speech is not half bad. I mean in a strictly speech judging sort of way.

Also Bloomberg can go strait to hell. Yeah the Hillary campaign is gonna help the little guy. Up next Michael Bloomberg gives speech on why the government should raid your house in search of illicit sugar.

1 Thank you for the links to all the speeches. To round things out, here's a link to The Donald's press conference

that has the Washington Post's panties in a wad, together with a transcript including the Washington Post's "annotations."

Apparently the Washington Post has descended to the level of the New York Times, pretending that a quote by the political opposition "proves" a person has made a false statement.

This is remarkably like the Washington Post coverage of the Swift Boat Veterans.

2 i listen to most of the convention on radio,
which makes it slightly more palatable.
For visual content, i clean the litter boxes
and it synchs up well with the speeches.
