A Baa!?!? No A Clock! (:Updated and Bumped For What I Said About Feeding Trolls)
Boyd said the device -- confiscated by an English teacher despite the teen's insistence that it was a clock -- was "certainly suspicious in nature. "The student showed the device to a teacher, who was concerned that it was possibly the infrastructure for a bomb," Boyd said. School officers questioned Ahmed about the device and why he'd brought it to school. Boyd said Ahmed was then handcuffed "for his safety and for the safety of the officers" and taken to a juvenile detention center. He was later released to his parents, Boyd said. And true to the way it should be no charges are filed.
At a press conference this morning, Irving Police Chief Larry Boyd said charges won't be filed against Ahmed Mohamed, the MacArthur High School freshman arrested Monday after bringing what school officials and police described as a "hoax bomb" on campus. But Mohammad may have been trolling for CAIR points its not his first go around.
Mohamed is familiar with anti-Islamic politics. He once made national headlines for debating a Florida pastor who burned a Quran. But he wasn’t paying much attention this summer when Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne became a national celebrity in anti-Islamic circles, fueling rumors in speeches that the religious minority was plotting to usurp American laws.So I say to the Dallas police the she second teacher, the English teacher that I have one piece of advice. Don't feed the trolls. Update: Um yeah.
The latest tweet from a Muslim boy who brought a clock to school that was mistaken for a bomb has some people wondering whether he and his family planned this all along.

I recall some random Iraqis getting executed by AQinI for "throwing microchips into trucks to guide american bombs." Like loose chips are magical tokens. I thought they were superstitious fools but Texas Teachers hain't much better i am learning.
But this Texas kid is born with a terrible birth defect in the form of his father so until he turns eighteen and changes his name to 'Juan Pedro Anderson' he lives with the sins of his father.

Okay, all jokes aside, I checked out his device and it is quite ingenious for a kid his age. Kudos to him for channeling his creativity this way, boo to the friggin' zero tolerance people. This reminds me of when I started to go to an American high school many, many years ago and was channeling my creativity into a drawing of a design for a dart-firing pen and some student there advised me to hide that immediately before one of the teachers sees it and calls the F.B.I. or something like that.

MIT seems to support him, but of course they were really big in nuke bomb design

On the way home, he wound up in a book shop --as he often did. He set the alarm clock down while he got engrossed in a book. Minutes later, a new customer walked in and then noticed the alarm clock sitting there. Frightened, he pointed at the alarm clock and asked in a shaking voice: "Whose is that?"
"Oh, Sorry, that's mine," my father replied absentmindedly. "Please be careful about that; I was worried it might be a bomb," the other guy replied. It was not uncommon in those days for PLO terrorists to leave bombs in the form of unremarkable packages, such as a lunch bag. A steel cased alarm clock, ticking away could have been a disaster.
But nobody got offended or went to see the police.
This sort of thing happens all the time. The difference here is that this busy body kid got stupid and then made a big stink about it because Islam!
This kid marches in to school playing with a beeping thing with loads of wires in a durable metal case --it is not unreasonable to ask whether it might be something more than just a clock.
And another thing: At his age, I was building a transceiver with high power tubes. To those who don't know what this stuff was about, it looked pretty fishy too. I used to get a few weird looks from people who barely knew how to operate a TV set. But one gets used to it; it has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with honest and reasonable ignorance of others.

But some foreign looking older student makes something that resembles a bomb and people send him money and say the school is crazy.
I GET IT. To bad the rest of the world doesn't.

Now it time to sue the country that gave him a home away from the chithole his family came from. I imagine the school district will settle out of court. These immigrants are so grateful.
OUTLAW ISLAM in America.

as a timer. The news media described the lights
and buzzers that went off in class.
This is a third rate no talent hack who made an
improvised timer from a clock.
What is it with these people? Is it in their DNA?

I return that sentiment back at you, brah. I'm deeply sorry ol' Chinese Gordon didn't put more of you dogs down.

Theres a tripwire and the muslims are being lulled into thinking that they can get away with anything they want, but will in time cause their own destruction.

This is not some naive, really smart kid who put together a clock. I think a quiet, close look at the adults around him is very much warranted.
