Finally Russia Enters Syrian Conflict!

I've said all along that we needed the Russians to kind of go into Syria and fisk it. With that familiar Russian er um pragmatism yeah that's it pragmatism.

Now the problem will be if Obama can't figure out how to make Russian help pay off.

Remember we are on the same side.

Um uh yah, Uh hold on now. I'm uh er extremely er confident......

2 Three days ago from German Dw news.

Russia already had a base there in Tartus and the flights in there have been in our news Friday and Saturday.

Weapons and words: Russia has a strategy in Syria

The US fears that Russia may decide to use military force in Syria. At the same time, governments in Washington and Moscow have been finding common ground, at least in terms of their stance toward the Assad regime.

To the United States, it seems like Russia has been boosting its military commitment in order to prepare for possible military intervention. The armored infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers and small firearms delivered in the past days arouse such suspicions.

4 I don't know what the russian interest is in Syria.
Maintain a market for continued arms sales?
Fight them there so we don't have to fight them here?
Practice?
Just to laugh at Obama, perhaps, but setting up
a magnificent photo-op for Putin, standing on
a pile of corpses. THAT would be worth it.

5 If Obama was Reagan he would bankrupt Putin in a heartbeat through the oil markets. Instead, Obama bankrupts the US first.

6 Greetings:

Elsewhere I read that a couple of years ago, Putin offered to grease the skids for Assad's departure but President Obama, confident of his omniscience declined.

7 Say you what you will about Putin or Assad, but at they leave Christians alone.

8 Obama says Assad must go. Putin says no way. Which means Assad is going to stay. You know wat I be sayin?

9 Wonder if the Russians will do better in Syria than they did in Afghanistan? The ISIS is a lot more experienced and armed with America's best weaponry thanks to the Iraqi army.
Nothing is certain in the Middle East.
