Awesome! Taliban Take Control Badakhshan
The good war is over you know.
The loss of the base marks the largest mass surrender by Afghanistan's security forces since US and NATO forces withdrew from the country at the end of 2014, concluding a war that lasted more than a decade. Around 110 police officers are said to have surrendered to the Taliban, according to a statement issued by the militants. At least 107 of the officers were released hours later, following negotiations with tribal leaders in the area. Meanwhile, it is unclear why much-needed reinforcements were not sent to the police base during the three days of fighting. "No reinforcements were sent to help the police at the base for the past three days when they were under the attack, and finally they had no option," said Abdullah Naji Nazari, head of Badakhshan's provincial council, referring to the surrender. Badakhshan's police chief General Baba Jan said that the local police commander also surrendered to the Taliban and handed over the base's weapons and ammunition, reported AP news agency.I suppose the upside is we won't have to listen to Adam Gadahn brag about it. And yes I'm reaching pretty far for that upside but when Obama is President you have to go that extra mile to find a bright spot.

And the taliban are getting smarter to only execute three of those who surrendered. (Although they can always hunt the other 107 down later.)
Since the ten years in which we continuously killed all the most aggressive taliban they have gradually changed from a terrorist organization that supported itself through poppy trade into an opium/drug cartel that does a bit of terrorism on the side. Probably more effective at damaging western culture than bombing aircraft, but less inclined to mass executions.
Still it's not too late to kill everyone in afghanistan and let the goats take over. Have i shewn you my plans for cheap drones that hunt and kill all humans? They even have little speakers that can say "KILL ALL HUMANS" in several languages. The kids love them.
