2 A great talent but not always a great man. I went to see him live in concert. He came on stage rolling drunk, managed to sing one song and fell down passed out at the end of it. After about half an hour they managed to get him back on stage, he sang about three lines from his next song and passed out again. And they refused to refund the tickets.
Still, rest in peace Joe and thanks for the music.

BTW, you have his name wrong in the headline.

3 I will always remember Joe Cocker on the early Saturday Night Live imitating John Belushi imitating Joe Cocker.

4 Greetings:

Back in the last '68, I was doing my military bit in Georgia while my sister was summering on the Jersey (aka Joisey) Shore. I telephoned her one Sunday morning and she said she had been to a Joe Cocker concert the previous evening. I asked about the other bands and she said the other act was terrible, something called "Led Zeppelin"

De gustibus non argumentum.

5 Look for the late Joe Cocker & late comedian John Beluchi on Saturday Night Live in 1976, youtube, it was great.
There is a longer version subtitled in Spanish.
Yes, I'm old.

7 Don't ever say that white guys don't have "soul". Don't ever say that.
