The Blessed Release of The FBI Investigation of Samir Khan AKA Inshallahshaheed (Sticky)
It is my honor to post possibly the best post of my life, today.
In 2006, a high priority for the FBI was tracking the owner of a blog called Inshallahshaheed who frequently posted commentary in support of Muslim extremist groups and violent jihad.Jawa Report gets a mention.
The FBI feared that both the shifting tone of the blog entries and the dozens of videos the blogger posted to YouTube depicting terrorist operations indicated that he was planning an attack against the US, or intended to join up with militants in Iraq and Afghanistan to fight the US military. Five years later, that blogger, Samir Khan, was killed in a CIA drone strike in Yemen alongside radical cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, who the Obama administration had secretly targeted for death, setting off a fierce debate over executive power. Both men were affiliated with al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula — and both men were US citizens.
The New York Times story that the analyst mentions was the first news report written about Khan. It was published on October 15, 2007 and examined his online preachings in the context of how radical jihadists use the Internet to spread their message. As I recall Samir Khan was first outed publicly by a Jawa report reader's link to Blogger profile he has used after he first reverted to Islam but before Samir became a seriously radicalized al-Qaeda supporter. After looking at the writings of that old blog (Human Liberation - an Islamic Renaissance) and the Ignored Puzzled Pieces of Knowledge Blog it became clear the author of both blogs was the same person. The old Blogger profile contained Samir Khan's real name and location and included a picture of Khan. We closed the comments on that post, but by then the cat was out of the bag that the terrorist blogger known as Inshallahshaheed (A Martyr God Willing) was indeed Samir Khan. See post: Inshallashshaheed Outted: North Carolina Jihadi in the News (UPDATED) The FBI's eyebrows were raised when Samir wrote a post in favor of an al-Qaeda invasion of Manhattan. Now the post was a bit of a pipe dream, but i was clear where Samir Khan's loyalties lay and also posted on the sixth anniversary of 9/11.
The Washington, DC analyst recommended that the agent in Charlotte read a post contained on an anti-jihad blog called the Jawa Report:
Jawa Report PWNs Samir Khan for Hotlinking.
You will find more information that is new it will all be laid out for you by [redacted]. Please read the comments section if you need to. I am in great hopes you will lock him up once and for all. He is a traitor. He gives aid and comfort to the stated enemies of our government. He is more than just a propagandist as far as I am concerned.
Jawa hits on page 134 Ppage 138 is a photocopy of jawa, 17 pages of jawa, dated 9/12/2007And the last word goes to Dr. Rusty Shackleford. Samir Khan: Still Gay, Still Dead
howie and rusty say this, howie and rusty say that... also see jawa references on pages 168, 182, 203, 216, 308, 309 (which one of you most likely to use the phrase, "this little missive"?) 348- 353 interesting
Rusty: Still Laughing
An FBI file from 2007 said agents identify the blogger, based on comments posted on his blog, as a "30 year old male, black-Muslim convert living in the Southern United States" who "identifies his occupation as 'Mujahid in training.'" The FBI was worried the unnamed blogger's "rhetoric, especially concerning conducting violent jihad in the United States, could encourage Samir Zafar Khan of his path of escalation to actually conduct a terrorist act in the United States."Al X is also known as Black Lion. Update III:
The New York Times story that the analyst mentions was the first news report written about Khan. It was published on October 15, 2007 and examined his online preachings in the context of how radical jihadists use the Internet to spread their message. The "First news report written about Khan", Really? Really? Jawa Report readers were told about Khan months earlier although he had not been named publicly. So the NY times was hardly the "first news report about Khan". Dear Vice, Suck it. Update IV: Friend of Jawa Report Abu Yahood gets a mention too.
From Washington Times
