Surviving An ISIS (ISIL/Islamic State) Massacre

**** video moved below the fold due to NYT's server being too slow, hanging the page***

I have mixed views on this. One being "why did the Iraqi army choose to flee instead of fight"?

The US military would never do that...period.

I guess maybe I am not in the mindset of a Iraqi military guy. I just, well, why not fight?

1 'Cause that's what arab "nation-state" armies do best (and they did it before 'The Holy Grail')-- Run away! Run away!

When they're in the robber-murderer-mob mindset, they're out of control. They can't adjust to a defense of *nation* mindset and the personal discipline that needs to go along with participation in a standing Western-style military. They're still very tribally based, and it really shows in their armies. My take, anyway.

2 The old US Army wouldn't do that, the new one just might.
There are precedents, Bull Run/Manassas, The Battle of the greasy grass.
The battle of the Bulge.
You have EX-Generals promoting Transgender soldiers as good thing these days.
Female Grunts for Crixus sake!
On another tribes land, against an Army that fights for Allah to fight back is considered a sin, better to be slaughtered like sheep than resit God's chosen ones.

3 I suspect that there is a mind set that if there is not the confidence that the guy next to you will not fight and hold or attack, you are soon dead yourself against a mob of what evers.
