"Peaceful" Muslims Joined ISIS Slaughter Of Yazidis

'First the ISIS came for the Yazidis, and I did not speak out. I joined them.'

From CNN via TROP:

Jamal Jamir, a 23-year-old university student from Sinjar, told CNN his family fled to the barren and windswept Mount Sinjar more than a week ago after ISIS captured their town. The group, which calls itself the Islamic State, has been on a rampage, killing members of various minorities, including Yazidis.

Jamir said after ISIS arrived in his town, Arab neighbors of his turned on the minorities and helped ISIS kill. "They join them, and actually they kill us."

"People you know?" CNN asked.

"Yes," he responded. "People -- our neighbors!"

In 1941, the Nazis began rounding up Jews and other minorities for mass executions. Most German people sat idly by and did nothing. They did not speak out, but they also did not join in committing the atrocities.

With ISIS, we are seeing other Muslims (not Arabs, as CNN so innocently puts it) joining the group, many from other countries around the world. We are seeing large groups of Muslims (and some non-Muslims) cheering and showing support to ISIS.

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. But if history has taught us anything it is that, whatever we have endured in the past, the worst is yet to come.

1 And again, there it is: My Neighbors.
There. Are. NO. Moderate. Moslims.

2 Greetings:

As the recently deceased Fouad Ajami so eloquently put it, those are the lands of "I against my brother; my brother and I against our cousin; and my cousin, my brother, and I against the stranger".

Ah, the joys of Islam, that globalization of 7th Century A.D. predatory Arab tribal culture under a thin veneer of religion.

6 Jedwabne was a town in (I believe) Poland during WWII where the non Jewish nieghbors actually rounded up the towns Jews and killed them. These were people that had grown up together, families that had lived in the same community together for often generations. We've seen this before, and it is human beings at their worst. It's not just the bystander effect, this is people actually joining in because the think it will save their own hide. It's evil born of cowardice.
