Antisemetism in France is not a new thing

An interesting take on what is happening in France today. I'm guessing there weren't a lot of, ahem, "youths" around to blame during WWII.

1 I spent last summer in Germany and France while on my honeymoon. I was astonished at the disconnect there between what is pronounced and what is done. These people say they are non-biased and better than the racist Americans. In reality, Germans and French treat Turks and other colored people like shit. They are, literally, 2nd class citizens. And the non-citizens are looked upon as complete scum. I have never seen people so openly insulted based upon Nationality and race as in Europe. This would receive instant condemnation anywhere in the US. Outright, open hatred is expressed by these "superior, civilized Europeans". EVERYTHING I saw was inferior to the US, Standards of cleanliness, quality of housing, amenities, you name it. The US is superior in EVERY way to Europe; unless you are a multimillionaire and can separate yourself from the masses. One caveat; rural France is the most friendly, unpretentious and homey place I saw in Europe. The little villages appreciate Americans sacrifices in WW2 and celebrate Americans as their saviors. I was surprised by that.
