U.S. Soldier Who Claims To Have Served With Bergdahl Casts Doubts On Official Version

I'm not sure what to think of this. If @CodyFNfootball is for real, his story is quite damning.

So far, we have a deserter who sought out the Taliban, a father who appears sympathetic to the Taliban, negotiations with terrorists, and a deal that benefits the enemy more than the US.

And, isn't it strange that Bergdahl's father, instead of tweeting joy for his son's imminent return, tweets a vow to get more Guantanamo prisoners released?

More below the fold. It is a long, but interesting read. Many thanks to SooperMexican for saving the tweets and putting them in chronological order.

1 Thanks DMartyr. "The Truth is out there," but only briefly. Accounts are deleted and stories edited and a year from now i expect google archives to be gone to us.

Is no wonder the appropriate Senate committees were not notified of this swap. The secretive trading of one neurotic muzzlum deserter for five psychotic muzzlum commanders is outright treason. And yeah i know that saying it makes me, somehow, all racissss.

See you in the Camps. Dibs on the top bunk.

2 Does anyone really find it odd that a traitor would use the staged rescue of another traitor for political gain?

3 I've always thought Bergdahl stunk. Thousands of American soldiers risked themselves looking for what will turn out to a be traitor or malcontent.
The question now is will the Obamatrons let the truth come out. The Taliban is partying. I don't blame the Taliban. They got to pick those released. I have a feeling this will kick Obama in the face. Not that it matters.

The news media claims this is a moment to celebrate his release. I don't think so. This may be time to consider charges. Will the Commander and chief allow military higher ups to bring charges or sweep it under the carpet for political gain? This is going to result into another fight between political parties. Democrats will scream any Republican that questions Bergdahl's patriotism doesn't care about our men and women in the military. Here we go again. Same old story.

4 This whole deal stinks. Supposedly the father removed some of his more onerous tweets. G-d help us.

5 Looking ABC and CBS news sites this morning concentrates on what will happen to the prisoners after release. CNN leads with the charges the B is a selfish deserter.

NPR has a sanitized puddle of emotional nice about the happy family in Idaho.

"Bowe Bergdahl grew up down a road that quickly turns to gravel in one of
the canyons around Hailey. Around town, he was known for the motorcycle
he rebuilt, and for his performance in the Nutcracker ballet. Bergdahl
loved to be alone in the mountains, but was also happy just talking to
people in town. He was an excellent marksman, say locals. He fenced. He
learned to sail."

Thanks NPR.

Today i give a point to CNN. Congratulations, Atlanta.

6 It definitely sounds like Bergdahl deserted. He also sounds like a hippie jerk that should have never joined the military in the first place. And we traded 5 Taliban for this guy? Why on earth did we even bother taking him back? He should have stayed in Afghanistan. Sounds like he would have liked it there. Since he is so ashamed of being an American, he should have just stayed there and joined up with enemy. Sounds like that is what he wanted to do anyway.
