It Begins: Ukrainian Soldier Dead as Russians Storm Base

Bang a gong, it is on:

Troops stormed a Ukrainian base on the outskirts of Simferopol on Tuesday, according to a Ukrainian military spokesman.
One Ukrainian officer was initially reported to have been wounded in the neck. The Interfax and Reuters news agencies reported that a soldier had been killed.
Kyiv has blamed Russia for the attack.
Normally Hitler comparisons are over-the-top rhetoric. In this case, though, the comparison works.

Oh, yeah, Russia has "annexed" the Crimea and Putin is -- literally -- laughing at the sanctions the US has placed on them.

1 Unfortunately, there are no Battered Nations Shelters for Ukraine to flee to.

2 Well, it's not like Russia could retaliate by, say, refusing to resupply the space station when we have no alternative but to rely on them. I mean, it's not like the space station isn't expendable, just like ambassador Stevens and his staff and those who tried to save them were. We do have our "priorities," after all.

What could go wrong? (Oh, wait, it's already going. Never mind.)

I used the link thingy, but was told to shorten them. I did (as you can see) and put them back in, but after posting there was no sign of them.
