Big Anti-Putin Rally in Moscow (~50k Demonstrators)
I'd like to believe that anti-Putin sentiment was high enough that it would turn Russia from its neo-fascist policy of incorporating any land where there is a majority Russian speaking population. I'd also like to believe cheeseburgers have no calories. Yet, I guess it is a good sign that at least some in Russia's capital are speaking out.The rally was yesterday and began at Pushkin Square, one of my old haunts back when I lived in Moscow. Of course, what drew me there was a pretty decent peroshki diner and McDonalds. It looks like it proceeded from there to the old "White House" -- the parliament (Duma) building.
