Ok, this is kinda cool: New Uniform for Sikhs in US Army

More power to 'em...

sikkh-us-army.jpg

It's all good, except ....

Muslim, Sikh, Jewish and Wiccan soldiers, marines, sailors and airmen can now request exemptions to strict military uniform and grooming policies.
And I don't really mind any of these people wearing slightly altered uniforms or maybe exempted from shaving.

But ... what about the female soldiers? What if a Muslima insists that her version of Islam requires her to cover from head to toe? That I'd have a problem with.

Yes, this exists.

Also, Wiccans have special clothing they wear? What is that, a pair of Doc. Martins, black eye liner and nailpolish ... for the guys?

1 I'm so glad I didn't get in when I tried a few years ago. The reported purges, Benghazi, USS Gabby Giffords. There's no telling how much damage they're doing.

"And I don't really mind any of these people wearing slightly altered uniforms or maybe exempted from shaving."

Do you really think it'll end with this? Special meals, holidays...certain words or gestures.. and on and on...Just like same sex marriage, is isn't about that, it's SO much more. Not only must we accept it, any hesitation to fully embrace will be meet with the charge of "hate".

Strange word "uniform"...wonder what the root word is...?

3 Maybe if Chelsea Manning still on active duty instead of pleasuring Bubba ... Private Peter Puffer demand Matching Pink Cammo Bra and Panty set with 10 inch F#*k Me Pumps?

4 Sikhs have been switching mohamadans to the oh-eff-eff position for hundreds of years. I like Sikhs.

5 Greetings:

Another unclear on the UNI-form concept I guess. Will there be cammie dots for the dot people ???

Just another slice off the old cultural salami.

6 I think I ran into that guy at the Camp Dwyer role 3 a few years ago. Pretty good doctor if that's him.

7 But God help you if you happen to be a Christian. God will have to, because the military sure will not.

8 If the uniform denotes the skill level, a good Mexican street gang should be able to defeat our troops.
Since all that our troops accomplished originally in Iraq and Afghanistan has now been totally lost, Thanks Obama, I guess it does not matter how good our troops are.

9 "Strange word "uniform"...wonder what the root word is...?"

That's a pretty good observation

10 You're a better man than I am......

11 Let is start with the following;

No one else will be allowed to wear a beard.

Nobody else will be allowed to carry a ceremonial
knife.

I love Abby on NCIS. She is a Goth, so she would have to be allowed into the military with her tattoos.

When will this end?

12 If you have Sikhs fighting for you, make the most of it and treasure them. They gave us Brits a real seeing to before they wewre absorbed into the British Army. Great fighters.

13 What? That burka looks like a sniper's gilly suit.

Posted by: Exador at January 24, 2014 09:08 AM

14 I am all for accepting Sikhs in our military, they gleefully kill Muslim jihadis at every opportunity and love capitalism.

15 Wiccan's get skyclad digies and are allowed to sacrifice any available virgins.

That Sikh looked STRAC!

Posted by: obsidian at January 24, 2014 12:36 PM

16 Nobody respects the fighting abilities of the Sikhs
or Gurka as much as I do. I only object to the
relaxation of standards to accommodate any group
of people who demand it.

If they get to wear a turban, then why does a
Texan not have the right to wear a camouflage 10 gallon hat?

The Brits were smart enough to set up segregated
units. If my barracks mate is sporting a full
beard, while I could be disciplined for not
being clean shaven, I would be pissed off.

17 Your right on that, Leonard, but that is the benefit of a Regimental System. Each Regiment is allowed to design their own uniforms and recruit who they like due to the traditions associated with it. A system like our own doesn't allow for that, sadly.

18 "Wiccan's get skyclad digies..."

Don't forget the requirement that they be allowed to perform sex acts as part of their religious ceremonies. (rolls eyes)

19 Just want to clear up one misconception about the old Indian Army under the Raj. They were not wholly segregated units. They would often be segregated often by company or by squadron depending on the type of unit. There were a few exceptions to this rule, being that there were a couple of single class regiments, but this was not the norm.

20 Seabees had to shave off the full beards in 1982. It probably 'improved' our building/fighting capabilities. Just like having a female Admiral over CEC/Seabees today.

21 And these leftards are gonna allow yamakas/yarmulkes to be worn by any jew in the service who wishes to??

Nah, not divisive enough to make it worth anything to the leftist scum pushing this stuff.

Can people of Nordic ancestry demand to be able to wear helmets with the horns on them ???

No Justice, No Peace !!! And it wont be pantywaste octutards involved, but people who have a history/genetic disposition for explosive berserkerism involved here.

Posted by: voomtorpator at January 26, 2014 11:01 AM

22 This is a serious mistake. It fosters separation between soldiers based upon religion and race. They must all be in the same boat, same hardships, same uniforms, same causes and goals. Only in this way is cohesion built. The Marine traditions are the best for unit cohesion and dedication.
