The Answer Is: Obamacare

If a bat and ball cost $1.10 and the bat costs one dollar more than the ball, how much does the ball cost?

More than half of the students at Harvard, MIT, and Princeton asked this simple logic problem got it wrong.

(Hat Tip: IHateTheMedia)

(Un)Related: The answer is no longer Obamacare.

1 (X+1)+X = 1.10; Therefore

2X+1 = 1.10; Therefore

2X = .10; Therefore

X = .05; Therefore

The ball costs $.05 and the bat costs $1.05.
