Infowars Gets All Too Real

Alex Jones on the debate over Adam Kokesh's planned armed march on DC

You can debate weather its a good idea or a bad idea....
Um bad idea.
Days after Adam Kokesh staged an open carry protest by loading a shotgun in Washington DC, “storm trooper” police raided the former Marine’s home last night, smashing in his door and deploying a flash bang grenade before arresting Kokesh.

According to a press release issued by Kokesh’s Adam vs the Man media team, “Numerous police vehicles, including a light armored vehicle and two low-flying helicopters barricaded Adam’s street. More than 20 armored SWAT team members surrounded the house, as well as a number of detectives, and plainclothes officers. Assault rifles were aimed on all members of the team as they were handcuffed without being told why they were detained. Masked and armored police in full “Storm Trooper” gear flooded in and ransacked the residence. The team was cordoned in a front room, while Adam was pulled aside for questioning

First lets get this strait, Adam Kokesh is an Grade A#1 asshole deluxe(see here). BUT..... this is America, you have the unalienable right to be an asshole trwoofer dickface. Don't you?

I dunno, those are some pretty strong words right there. Discuss.

Update: Kokesh has been charged with possession of mushrooms with an aggravating factor "while being in possession of a firearm".

The warrant was for the shotgun used in the video above, but he's not been charged as yet with any crime related to the making of the video.

Update: More here on Kokesh's asshole trwoofer dickfacishness at the Other McCain, who points out that was that pumped up steroid looking spokesman for Iraq Veterans against the War.

3 Better?

4 I don't think Kokesh's views on gun ownership and use are wrong. However, his tactics play right in to the hands of the anti-gun nuts.

He has the Constitution and a recent Supreme Court ruling on his side. There is no need to deliberately go out of his way to break an unconstitutional law that does not threaten him. If he spent half as much of his time and money on attorneys, he could tie the DC government in to a constitutional Gordian knot which could only be solved by cutting those laws out of the books.

5 Like Gork says above, he had the constitution and court rulings on his side. The only problem with his protest was that he didn't have enough backing from the public, and he really needed that for it to succeed.

6 Yeah its the equivalent of using a sledgehammer to kill a fly on the administration's part. They just basically made Infowars right.

They obviously are not just going after him for that video. They are going for the whole ball of wax. Otherwise no raid would be needed.

7 Texas maybe, but not DC. DC is the den of the beast. It's spells were cast by lawyers, and lawyers must break them.

8 Looking for how this all plays out in court. The government wanted to show its willingness to send heavily armed shock troops to anyones homes in the middle of the night, to kill or arrest them for voicing their dissent a bit too loudly. Its the "progressive" way

9 The militrization of the nation's police has been going on for a long time. It is only when the right wing feels the boot that they feel the need to complain. when hippies, commies muslims got it the overkill no one cared. when Bush used warantless wiretapping no one cared

10 Occam,

The muslims are an invading army. Drop them off your list. This is not my opinion, but the 'prophet's, spelled in the quran.

11 I linked Stacyt McCain's post on his background. He's lost weight since he did Iraq Veterans against the war.

So yeah a kook, but something seems kind of fishy, the warrant was for the gun, I guess to charge him in a gun crime case in which the law has been declared void by the Supreme court? So how do you get a warrant on unconstitutional law? But then they found shrooms to charge him with.

Interesting fishing expedition.

The problem is he's a giant walking rectum, so even if the gov't is going overboard like said above no public support.

Shame he's a kook because well, next time it might not be the kook that steps out of line.

Why do you feel the need to call those with whom do you disagree names? Do you think that wins more support to your cause?

Posted by: HerWrath at July 10, 2013 02:22 PM

13 Here's a thought: Before you stick your thumb in the eye of the cops, daring them to arrest you, stash your drugs at somebody else's house. Idiot.

14 Meanwhile at the same time other side iof town several more people were killed in gang violence, something apparently not worthy of police action (as usual)
