Ministry of Irony: Snowden Seeking Assylum in Nation Who Founded KGB

Layers upon layers of irony in that Snowden is seeking to stay in the the USSR, hiding from the United States' surveillance state.

Edward Snowden has abandoned his effort to seek asylum in Russia after President Vladimir Putin warned that he would have to stop leaking information about U.S. surveillance programs if he wanted to stay, a Russian official said Tuesday.
What? You thought Putin, former head of the KGB, was like against domestic surveillance?

I don't even know where to begin on that.

1 My respect of Putin has gone up a tad as he (Putin)seems not to be "sticking it "to the USA!

No surprise that the world is coming upside down.
Many of us have been noticing that all along.
Putin's regime is a criminal gang, but not so much political ideology.
Bam-bam's regime is all politicized ideology and treason.
Chickens coming home to roost.

3 Putin is so much a superior politician to Obama it isn't even a contest.
