Signs, Signs, Everywhere The Signs

Must be the theme today at TJR as another man has made a sign offensive to the Religion of Peace™

Michael Heick (hyke) placed a sign reading “Bomb Making Next Driveway” on the front lawn of his property along a heavily traveled road in the town of Amherst. The next driveway on the same side of the road is the entrance to the Jaffarya (JAH’-free-yuh) Center.

Yeah, well, last time I checked we had a 1st Amendment guaranteeing our right to free speech. If the mosque doesn't like it, too bad. Maybe they should work on reforming their political ideology posing as a religion so that their adherents would stop, you know, making bombs.

Thanks to Victory Girls.

4 Funny yes. But not to smart. It's better to get rid of a wasps nest than to stir it up.

5 Truth hurts, innit?

The 1st amendment allows Americans to have freedom of speech, but not freedom to lie. Unless this person has proof that the people next door are making bombs - and I think it is pretty obvious he doesn't, by the lack of cops SWAT teams swarming the place - his sign is libelous and against the law.
It's also stupid as hell to post a public sign designed to piss off your neighbors just because you don't like their religion, but that's a whole different argument. It is stupid to fight an evil theology with prejudice and hatred as your main weapons, but at least it is legal to do so (as long as you are not making any false accusations.)
"Freedom of speech means you are entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts."
