China: One-Child Policy Ending

China One-Child Policy.jpg

(Beijing, China) After 40 years with a one-child policy, Chinese leaders have discovered a serious consequence.

More than half a billion birth control procedures, including at least 336 million abortions, have been performed in the name of the one-child policy, China's Health ministry revealed yesterday.
[Note: Sadly, simple arithmetic indicates 1,500 abortions have been performed in China every hour of every day for four decades.]
Official statistics showed that in addition to the terminations, Chinese doctors have sterilised 196 million men and women since 1971.
As a result of the family planning policy, Chinese demographics have been skewed and the working age population is decreasing. A smaller workforce is considered a serious threat to the Chinese economy.

Therefore, the Chinese National Population and Family Planning Commission has been dissolved.

1 China: the reason why competent lawyers read Roe v. Wade and shudder.

There's a discussion about the consequences of a grant of power to our government near the beginning of the majority opinion. It states that, once the power to make a decision is granted, there is no way to control what the decision ultimately will be.

People howled about that part. And then, we got wind of what China's government really, really did do.

2 All those years of infanticide and wickedness and now they just say, "oops, like, never mind." Forcing people to act like something other than people just trades one problem for a batch of new ones and makes everyone suffer while the administrators yet again learn about "unintended consequences." They could have just asked the elderly citizens for advice if all the wise old people hadn't been shot dead in the Cultural Revolution. (Yeah, i can see it's about to happen here with the more innocent sounding Independent Payment Advisory Board pulling the triggers.)

3 According to some paperwork those people that where aborted where actual born. Those ghost cities should be full of people but they where aborted 30 years ago.

4 If we made things in America the Chinese wouldn't have a problem then. Only something like 10% of China can produce food. I think their idea was good. The problem is the administration of that goal. Someday the United States is going to realize that an over populated country will be a weak country. Food prices are already rising by leaps and bounds here. By a gallon of milk lately?

The only two things that have stopped China from becoming the absolute undisputed world super power, were :
1) Communism/Socialism and 2) the One-Child policy.
Let's hope they don't abandon communism

6 In many ways they have. There are many millionaire Chinese. Big time developers and manufacturers that own the businesses. In fact they are in dirext competition with state owned businesses. When the Communist Government of China allowed private business they sealed their own doom. Money, Big Macs, levies , Coca Cola and American music always wins out.

7 I look forward to adding those 336 MILLION murdered Chinese to the bloody toll that Socialism and Government-Control has inflicted on humankind.......

8 We are not an over populated country. (Or planet.)
Supposedly we will run out of food, but it wasn't happening until the EPA required us to plant half our corn acreage with inedible ethanol crops. The Progressives want Ehrlich to be right even if they have to force it to happen. Every federal regulation that is supposed to help us "make things better and safer for consumers" puts more limits on agriculture. The coming famine is deliberate.

9 Numbers of men vs. women in China are staggering. They may get rid of the one child policy, but demographically, there are 32 million more men under 20 than women under 20.

Of course, war solves many of those issues.

10 When those under 20 men get that certain urge;
Look Out World!

11 Kafiroon: It's already becoming a problem.

Single Chinese men are becoming infamous for going abroad to try to find wives. The problem they have is that most other Aisian countries are in better economic shape than theirs'.

12 Quality of life is more important than the number of lives. Over populated countries have a poorer quality of life. India, China, Indonesia, Nigeria, etc: Nearly all basic food has gone up and up. Ethanol isn't the problem simply because much NEW acreage has been planted because of ethanol. The Government isn't responsible for ethanol mandates. The powerful farm lobby is. That given I'm against ethanol mandates simply because if we can plant more corn we should to lower prices. Corn should equal lower prices for meat products, dairy products and sugar. Not gasoline. If ethanol is responsible for higher gasoline prices then at 10% that all that gasoline would have been raised. It's doubled in the last 8 yrs. Greed is why oil prices are high. There are no shortages. Oil doesn't seem to be driven by supply and demand anymore. When the price goes up and the supply is adequate it's safe to call bullshit. Getting back to population. The more people the more cars. The more cars the more fuel used. The more fuel used the higher the price and the sooner it's exhausted. That also goes for food. There's a direct connection between food, fuel and overpopulation. How much more arable land is left in the United States. Top soil is blowing away in the wind. So is our future food supplies. Supplies that American people will be bidding for with foreign countries. As in oil. Food in a world market. And now I need my coffee.

13 By the way. China sells 55% of its export weapons to PAKISTAN. We give Pakistan the money to purchase arms from China. You have to see the wisdom in that. As they say. Only in America.

14 Quality of Life......The Chinese Government has required it's parents to murder it's own children. These are more often that not baby girls yet liberals in this country continue to adore the Chinese. There is a real WAR ON WOMEN that has been waged in China all these years. Quality of life is for survivors only.

We've killed 50 million or so of our own children since Roe V Wade in this country. Planned Parenthood provided Sex Selective Abortions. It will kill a baby girl because...She is a Girl. The murder mill founded by the Racist Eugenicist Margaret Sanger is the darling of the left. The Libs have nothing to say about a War on Women to Planned Parenthood which actually murders women because they are women.

Hilary Clinton holds the "Prestigious" Margaret Sanger Award:
"We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably withsocial-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don't want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea ifit ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."-- Margaret Sanger's December 19, 1939 letter to Dr. Clarence Gamble,

15 Two paws up from this pro-lifer!

There's strong evidence that world population growth is coming to a halt and that it will soon begin to decline. If it declines rapidly on account of too few births, that's called a demographic crash, and that's always a very bad thing.

Posted by: 1389AD at March 18, 2013 08:41 AM

16 How about more Westernized countries have dropped below replacement births. Note Japan. Tribal countries have many children, of which a number do not survive.
End Game: World is populated by hut dwelling, open fire cooking, mass uneducated tribes. HEH!

17 In fairness to China, some of those aborted babies were going to grow up to be jerks.

18 Gotta play devil's advocate here:

The fewer Chinese there are in this world, the better.

19 What happens when it ends, the population elodea and twenty to thirty years from now, someone says "we need more living space"? Theres no good solution to this problem.

Posted by: Bill at March 18, 2013 03:46 PM

20 Population decline is only in modern countries. America need not fear a decline in population. The minorities on some type of entitlement are producing plenty of babies. All paid for by those not producing plenty of babies because they can't afford to pay for both. In fifty years America will have plenty of people. But they won't look like or speak like those who built this country.
Population control is a reality and worrying about a decline is a fallacy. Over 6 billion now but 60 years ago it was 2 billion. How did the world exist with only 2 billion. At that time half the population of the world lived in China. China is the only large country in the world who have kept their population from increasing the last fifty years. Is the quality of life in China better today than fifty years ago? You bet it is. Living proof that population control works.
