Dearbornistan: McDonald's Pays Jizya
DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) — McDonald's and one of its franchise owners agreed to pay $700,000 to members of the Muslim community to settle allegations a Detroit-area restaurant falsely advertised its food as being prepared according to Islamic dietary law. [...] The lawsuit alleged that Ahmed bought a chicken sandwich in September 2011 at a Dearborn McDonald's but found it wasn't halal — meaning it didn't meet Islamic requirements for preparing food. Islam forbids consumption of pork, and God's name must be invoked before an animal providing meat for consumption is slaughtered.

The restaurant advertised that they sold halal chicken, and then provided non-halal. That's fraud any way you slice it... of course, when a "kosher" place pulls this scam, observant Jews just stop going there and run the guy out of town...so the sue-happy bit...hmmm....
Of course, I wonder who actually owns these places-- muslim franchisees? Finley owns the own in question, but who is Finley?
A lot of this nonsense could be avoided if muslims required certified oversight of the entire restaurant, like kosher restaurants....but I guess since the illiterate founder of islam didn't really know the details of "kosher" when he stole the idea for his new religion, this is what you get... muslims going to restaurants with bacon on the menu and then raising hell when they accidentally get a piece of said bacon on their sammich.
