Best Argument For Gun Ownership
This anti-gun rant is a perfect example of why people should be able to defend themselves against violent incitement endorsed by the liberal media and ignored by the current Democratic Administration.Donald Kaul of the Des Moines Register lays out his plan to disarm law abiding citizens (all emphasis mine):
• Repeal the Second Amendment, the part about guns anyway. It’s badly written, confusing and more trouble than it’s worth. It offers an absolute right to gun ownership, but it puts it in the context of the need for a “well-regulated militia.” We don’t make our militia bring their own guns to battles. And surely the Founders couldn’t have envisioned weapons like those used in the Newtown shooting when they guaranteed gun rights. Owning a gun should be a privilege, not a right. • Declare the NRA a terrorist organization and make membership illegal. Hey! We did it to the Communist Party, and the NRA has led to the deaths of more of us than American Commies ever did. (I would also raze the organization’s headquarters, clear the rubble and salt the earth, but that’s optional.) Make ownership of unlicensed assault rifles a felony. If some people refused to give up their guns, that “prying the guns from their cold, dead hands” thing works for me. • Then I would tie Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, our esteemed Republican leaders, to the back of a Chevy pickup truck and drag them around a parking lot until they saw the light on gun control. And if that didn’t work, I’d adopt radical measures.Torture and murder of political opponents and law abiding citizens who exercise Constitutional rights isn't what Donald considers "radical measures"? And the left accuses the right of violent rhetoric...

If Donald Kaul weren't such a doddering old fool, I would take his rantings much more seriously. Seriously, I think the cold dead hands thing is stupid. Good luck finding a militia of any sort that is willing to disarm people in that fashion. I will stand shoulder to shoulder with the rest of my fellow countrymen to resist, and use deadly force if necessary, such brazen attempts to violate the constitution.
If Donald Kaul doesn't think much of this sort of thing, he can go live in Australia, where they have just spent half a Billion dollars to disarm the population. And surprise, surprise, the crime rate is going up. Armed robberies are up 44% since the effort has been in force. Go to your paradize in Oz Don....

donald kaul should be dropped off at RFK stadium on the east edge of D.C. in his best $5k suit, $1k shoes, $15k wrist watch and $500 tie.
then he should be reminded that D.C. has some of the strictest gun laws in the country.
next he should be informed that after he walks to the capitol building, about 3 miles, we can have an adult conservation about gun ownership, the second amendment, and self defence. oh, no cab rides, no police escorts, no assistance of any kind is allowed.
for those of you who do not know, those 3 miles are some of the worst crime ridden getto neighborhoods in the country.
any congress critter supporting the gun grabbing caucus should be, one at a time, dropped off and invited to follow kaul's trek...if he makes it.

Hopefully what will happen to the paper that published this crap is what happened to the NY paper that published all the gun owners names and addresses on a map. People will call and cancel their subscriptions in droves and get subscriptions with the other newspapers competing for the business.

The National Guard was outgunned. You must be talking about the ninth ward or other black areas where getting something to eat was more important than robbing, mugging and murdering people.
Rest assured everything is now back to normal. New Orleans ise once again the murder capital of America.
Understand though. It's like muslims killing muslims. Who really gives a shit and who says it's a bad thing? Most murders in New Orleans merely helps keep the welfare roll numbers in check.

Can't he be investigated for threatening the current speaker of the house with grievous bodily harm?
