3 So anniversaries are a big deal with these guys?

4 remember remember the fifth of november.
Sometimes we in the west do the anniversary thing, too.
We decorate and collect fire wood and even elect another socialist half-wit so it'll be just like the first time. And then the pendulum swings back the other way and a battalion of US Marines jumps out of your cake and yells "surprise!"

We are a lot weaker now than last time: it's not going to be all fun and games but someone is definatly going to lose a limb. As Fessik said, I hope we win.

5 Occam, the arms for hostages thing was in Lebanon. The embassy guys were released about thirty seconds after Reagan was sworn in. (really, he had not yet left the podium when someone announced, "they're free.") Oliver North sold the Iranians some (defective) AA missiles via a Lebanese arms dealer to get some slack for the hostages that Hezbollah held and used the profits to arm the Contras in Nicaragua... yeah, kinda sloppy and made for great C-SPAN, but not the same set of hostages.

(And i mis spelled Fezzik.)
