21 People Burned Walking On Hot Coals
I can understand the first guy getting burned. He's all fired up, ready to show everyone how tough he is, he's going to go for it.I can understand the second guy as well. He sees the first guy get burned, but he's probably thinking the first guy wasn't motivated enough or he did it wrong somehow. The second guy would be determined to prove he can do it despite what happened to the first guy. Maybe, you can even make a case for the third guy. He might be thinking the first two are morons, they didn't follow directions, let's show them how its done... But if you are the twenty-first guy, WTF are you thinking? The tortured screams of agony of 20 other people didn't discourage you in any way? From The Blaze:
Fire officials in California say at least 21 people were treated for burns after attendees of an event for motivational speaker Tony Robbins tried to walk on hot coals. The San Jose Mercury News reports that at least three people went to a hospital and most suffered second- or third-degree burns. [...] Witness Jonathan Correll says he heard “screams of agony.” He explained it was hard to watch as one young woman appeared to be in so much pain. “I heard wails of pain, screams of agony,” he said. “It was horrific.”No, three is horrific. Twenty-one is Darwin at work desperately attempting to salvage the gene pool. And entertainment for those of us who love dark humor.
