FBI: Afghan Murders Could Incite Homegrown Terror

I know my original reaction was, "when do they ever need inciting"? But that kind of misses the point. They're always angry, but events such as what happened in Afghanistan might be the tipping point between angry and violent.

Seattle's King 5 News:

The FBI and Department of Homeland Security are warning that the massacre of 16 civilians in Afghanistan, allegedly at the hands of a soldier from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, could trigger extremists to retaliate here in the U.S....

The FBI and DHS said some websites circulated graphic pictures of Sunday's massacre and called for revenge against the U.S. military. The websites suggested that the military planned the killings and that there were more deaths than what was reported.

We've actually seen a number of incidents where already radicalized individuals felt they needed to take violent action in "revenge" for some alleged misdeed or another.
