An Armstrong County man facing terrorism-related indictments in Virginia has apparently decided to plead guilty in a Pittsburgh case where he's charged with biting two federal agents and carrying a firearm during the assault.
U.S. District Judge Maurice Cohill today entered an order scheduled a guilty plea hearing for Emerson Begolly, 22, of Redbank for next Tuesday in federal court, Downtown. The order doesn't indicate the charges to which Begolly plans to plead guilty.
His attorney and a spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney's Office couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
A federal grand jury in Alexandria, Va., indicted Begolly last month on charges of soliciting crimes of violence and distributing information relating to explosives, destructive devices and weapons of mass destruction.[More]
