Operation Toy Drop
Ahh, God Bless our Heroes:
Sgt. 1st Class Charmarlina Brazile, U.S. Army Special Forces Command, donates a teddy bear during the Randy Oler Operation Toy Drop, December 15, 2010 at St. Mere drop zone, Fort Bragg, N.C. Despite name, the toys are not "dropped" anywhere except into the arms of deserving children throughout Cumberland County and North Carolina. Operation Toy Drop is an annual, non-tactical airborne operation supervised by foreign military jumpmasters. Soldiers who participate earn a foreign nation's "jump wings". Countries participating are Botswana, Canada, Chile, Estonia, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Poland, and Thailand. (U.S. Army photo by Trish Harris-Brownlee, USASOC Public Affairs)
