Update On Ron Gochez, Anti-Semitic History Teacher At Santee High School Los Angeles Calls For Mexican Revolt In The United States

My, my, little did I know when I stated Social Justice paging William Ayers Weather Underground... I was right.

A wealth of background information on Gochez at American Power.

I paused when I read this:

[...]Plus, Gochez is cited at the Workers World Party website, "ONE MILLION ON MAY DAY DEMAND: Stop Arizona Apartheid Law":

The Southern California Immigration Coalition contingent, wearing red shirts and carrying red, Mexican and Honduran flags and flags from other Latin American countries, represented one of the largest groups in the united protest. SCIC includes over 40 organizations; some of the major ones are Union del Barrio, BAYAN-USA, Service Employees Local 721 Latino Caucus, Latino Congresso and the International Action Center/Bail Out the People Movement.

Two of the rally emcees were Ron Gochez of Union del Barrio and Celina Benitez of the Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador. Both are steering committee members of SCIC. They made comments and led chants that made it clear that any legislation calling for criminalization was not acceptable.

Workers World Party
Workers World Party (WWP) is a revolutionary communist political party in the United States, founded in 1959 by a group led by Sam Marcy.[1] Marcy and his followers split from the Socialist Workers Party in 1958 over a series of long-standing differences, among them Marcy's group's support for Henry A. Wallace's Progressive Party in 1948, the positive view they held of the Chinese Revolution led by Mao Zedong, and their defense of the 1956 Soviet intervention in Hungary, all of which the SWP opposed.
Domestic terrorist Billy Ayers Weather Underground not mentioned right? Think again.
The WWP describes itself as a party that has, since its founding, "supported the struggles of all oppressed peoples". It has recognized the right of nations to self-determination, including the nationally oppressed peoples inside the United States. It supports affirmative action as absolutely necessary in the fight for equality.

As well, it opposes all forms of racism and religious bigotry. Initially the WWP was confined to the Buffalo, New York area, where it had constituted the Buffalo and other smaller branches of the SWP, like Youngstown, Ohio, but expanded in the 1960s. During the Civil Rights Movement the WWP had a youth movement, "Youth Against War and Fascism", which opposed the Vietnam War. Workers World and YAWF were noted for their consistent defense of the Black Panthers and the Weather Underground along with Vietnam Veterans Against the War and the Puerto Rican Independence movement. Workers World Party was an early advocate of gay rights as well, and remains active in this area of struggle today.

The WWP has published a newspaper since 1959 titled Workers World, a weekly since 1974.

Social justice is the key phrase.
