What Did Ann Coulter Really Say?

The broadcast networks and other mainstream sources have deliberately misquoted conservative author Ann Coulter as wishing for John Edwards' to be killed by terrorists. Coulter was actually criticizing HBO propagandist Bill Maher for wishing that terrorists had killed Vice President Dick Cheney, a remark that was completely ignored by the MSM.

Video here.

Update: Maher may not have said exactly what Coulter claimed.

Writing at ABC's blog Political Punch Jake Tapper quotes Maher as questioning why the Huffington Post deleted comments wishing for the Veep's death, and then said:

"No, Iím just saying if he did die, other people, more people would live," said Maher. "Thatís a fact."
Tapper softpeddles Maher's malicious comments, but does note that MSM outlets were "unfair" in truncating Coulter's sentence. Tapper does not address the issue of Maher being given a pass by the MSM on his comment, nor does he comment on the absurdity of "we in the media" correcting the gross dishonesty with a post on a relatively low-traffic blog.

1 Ann is taken out of context, yet again. She isn't nearly as inflammatory as so many Leftards out there (like Maher). Only diff is she's conservative and the MSM is Liberal. Fuck em. Their ratings are tanking and will soon be a footnote.

2 We are all well aware of what Ann said and the libturds leaving out the kill Cheney part. Just the way they operate. They must be worried. Nice to know Edwards is such a pussy he must run and hide behind his wife's skirts.

3 Ann is very intelligent, but when she speaks with complex sentences linking more than one phrase, the liberals can't concentrate long enough to get the meaning correct. Because they are all emotion based, they emote first and think 23rd.

4 Carlos,
If you do some research you might learn something shocking: Maher is not a leftist. He's a Libertarian (ie: the Ron Paul variety). He's also very very savy.

Coulter, on the other hand, is a wack-job who says outrageous things about Liberals so that braindead and hatefilled rednecks can get a woody.

5 She doesn't have to say anything to give me a woody!

6 "Maher is not a leftist. He's a Libertarian" As a Libertarian, he is a disgrace. I would not claim him. Besides which, lots of 'leftists' who are unhappy with the 'liberal' label, duck under the edge of 'Libertarianism', hoping they won't get caught out. The word 'progressive' is being outed as a sort of smoke screen term for former 'liberals', is one reason why. Another reason is that a percentage of the 'left' are Anarchists. Strange enough, there is cover for Anarchists within the Libertarian structure, even though anarchy is not what true 'Libertarians' are about. Maher is scum. He sold out to the left a long time ago.

USA, all the way!

7 Michael,

How exactly did Maher sell out to the left? He still rants about the evil of feminism and incompetent govenrment.

8 Maher and Michael Moore. Birds of a feather.
