That Was Fast: Twitter Suspends Ron Paul Institute's Account

The cucks are busy arguing about New York vs. Chicago pizza, and also about the right mix of conservative, market-based solutions to accomplish the left's goal of outlawing conservative speech.

Steven Green on Why He Supports InfoWars' Right to Speech: It's because BigTech is simultaneously attempting to deny a platform to Bill Whittle's site.

It's true that Facebook is a private company and can ban who they like. But if telecommunications regulations apply, then they either have to police EVERYbody (and be held liable for stuff they fail to police), or keep the platform open to ANYbody.

Facebook has chosen the former, but I doubt they'll be held to account for it -- or for silencing so many other pages, almost all conservative and right-leaning. My other job is providing video commentary for BillWhittle.com, and YouTube has squeezed our traffic in half. Bill has about 120,000 subscribers, and only about 2% get his YouTube notices. We're still doing well on Facebook, but for how much longer? So if you want to know why I find myself standing alongside Alex Jones, it's because Facebook and the Electronic Left drove me there.

This is indeed a culture war, and the other side is powerful enough that we no longer have the luxury of picking and choosing our allies. The Progressive Left has chosen them for us.

The cucks disagree, of course. They are currently negotiating the terms of their incorporation into the Democrat Party, as the controlled opposition, the pretend opposition that actually exists to provide an illusory alternative to progressive rule, and they believe that they have struck a deal they can live with:

If they assist the left in censoring all other conservative speech, the left will guarantee their speech rights alone, and also pay them to occasionally appear on MSNBC or to write an op-ed column for the racist New York Times.

Ace doesn't use Facebook and refused to give Twitter a phone number so they can't touch him.

I'm sure his Twitter helped get some new people to the site, but Ace predates social media by several years so he built up his following without having to do shares and likes, etc.

I believe the only way they could get to Ace is through his ad network or his ISP. Doesn't Ace have his own server? How could they take you down if you run your own server?

Google could de-index his site on searches, though.

What they'll do is in Google's case, delete from their search results like it's child porn or something.

And then if other sites link to it, they'll be penalized. So then
other websites will be forced to play ball or lose their livelihood.
You can kill a very big outlet of political news overnight with a few

97 andycunuck linked to an Ezra Levant twitter thread that is really good. One key point he makes:

The European Union just fined Google (YouTube's owner) $5 billion. Do you doubt that they're making regulatory threats behind the scenes, if YouTube doesn't delete Tommy's (or Infowars') YouTube accounts?

The EU has already signed a contract with Google/YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Microsoft whereby they delegate their censorship to these corporations. So the EU gets censorship without due process, in return for unspecified favours to the companies

This is bigger than US politics and US laws, and these tech companies are willingly censoring to please other countries. That is their mindset, not "how can I protect my users?"

147 "It's true that Facebook is a private company and can ban who they like. But if telecommunications regulations apply..."

FB, GOOG, AMZN .. are not private, they are publicly held stocks. They answer to shareholder and the SEC. They can't become political agitprop machines on a whim. They are obligated to maintain shareholder value.

They also can't falsely advertise fairness when they are driven by political activists using secret algorithms to kneecap conservatives that visit "too many" WrongThink sites (or whatever political method is being used).

The reason these CEOs are suddenly the richest men in the world is because they won over the public with user agreements that (allegedly) were fair to all, a sort of implied/written BillOfRights that allowed them to gain market dominance.

So turning those rights around to punish WrongThink on a political basis is not in shareholder interest, and is false advertising. The BoD should be driven out, by legal action if necessary, or SEC actions ... (idk, I just come up with the ideas, get some lawyers to implement )

Not to pick on Wyatt Earp, but the point is missed entirely: Twat and Face are the "town square" of the electronic age, and massively larger than any other "town square" in history.

And there is ONE town square, with a number of software inventions that mean any supposed competitor could not offer a similarly functioning platform. That is the idea, first control the technology, then censor those who won't fall in line.

Perhaps we could equal it out with anti-Trust legislation, like ATT break up in the '80's, but I like the idea of forcing FEC campaign laws on them. Every impression that is pro-Democrat or anti-Republican or anti-Libertarian, is a donation in kind to their Favorite Party. The value is hundreds of millions each year.

Make the Twat and Face pay. It will change immediately.

187 It's this simple:

Time to break up the monopolies. Period. Google does not get to also own YouTube. Period. AND what is now known as "YouTube" gets broken up between original / premium content, and content created by the users with ABSOLUTE enforcement of consistent, public utility style regulation. You either police everyone, or you police NOBODY.

Same goes for Facebook and Amazon and Netflix. Facebook is likely THE most ripe for being broken up. Break out their AWS service, break out their original programming, and then break up the Amazon shopping into, say, 3 regional companies.

And nobody gets to own online advertising while also owning anything else. You serve ads and that's it. Nobody gets a break on the cost of ads. And what remains of Google the search algorithm no longer gets "sponsored" results. Nor does Facebook.

It's really not that complicated. The pussies in DC just don't have the balls to do it.

Watertower... that was a kick. First mall I've ever been to with an attendant in the bathroom.

I recommend everyone go to Chicago, eat some 'za, and watch a Cubs game in Wrigley. Check out the lakefront. Maybe go up into the Sears Tower. Its a pretty place in downtown, although kinda scary in a lot of places.

248 Also, you could allow, say Twitter, to maintain the front end, so to speak. All the content is displayed over "Twitter.com", but the actual content providers could be broken up into regional companies, or whatever.

You could sign up with any one of the 3-5 hosts that would be responsible for policing content for threats, harassment, etc., but all their content would then be passed through and delivered via "Twitter". Again, they have to be regulated like a public utility to be content neutral, but at least one of the sub-twitter hosts would be held by someone of a more conservative view.

"damnatio memoriae" per Ezra Levant:

Roman emperors practiced damnatio memoriae, in English: to "damn the memory" of troublesome people, such as a rival brother they had killed. They literally scraped non-persons off of paintings, destroyed sculptures of them. Here's a short video of that:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iapLI-EMyWw

That video ends by saying damnatio memoriae is impossible in the age of the Internet. Wrong: when it's the Internet's emperors doing the de-personing, it works just fine. Soon Alex Jones will never have existed. How would you prove otherwise, if you can't find him on Google?

Ace doesn't use Facebook and refused to give Twitter a phone number so they can't touch him.

I'm sure his Twitter helped get some new people to the site, but Ace predates social media by several years so he built up his following without having to do shares and likes, etc.

I believe the only way they could get to Ace is through his ad network or his ISP. Doesn't Ace have his own server? How could they take you down if you run your own server?

Google could de-index his site on searches, though.

There IS a way to get private sites shut down. It happened to me.

Back during the "cartoon wars" era, where the pressing issue was whether or not it was "legal" to depict Mohammed, I launched the "Mohammed Image Archive," which not only depicted Mohammed, but which became the comprehensive worldwide uncensored library of every Mohammed ever created since the beginning of time.

The Muslims didn't merely "hate" me -- they wanted me dead. (And still do.) But zombietime is not "on" any platform -- it's a privately owned domain. So: How to shut it down?

Easy-peasy. Hackers from Pakistan did all sorts of electronic traces to track down the physical address of where the actual hard-drive that hosted zombietime was located. (Turns out it's in Texas, something that even myself did not know.)

Then the Muslims started sending bombs threats to that address, saying they will kill everyone in the building unless zombietime was taken down.

And it worked (briefly, at least.) After the building had to be evacuated at least three times over a few weeks, the other companies in the building pressured the hosting company that owned the server to simply delete zombietime, as they were getting tired of being evacuated over and over simply because of one kooky Web site on one server. And the hosting company caved, and deleted the site -- without even consulting me ahead of time.

Once I found out about it, I was about to initiate a lawsuit against them (I had even contacted a lawyer), when a rogue employee at the company took me into confidence and said that the company bosses had a short attention span, and that if I simply waited for a week or two until the kerfuffle blew over, she would silently allow me to reactivate the site, and no one would notice or care.

So, I went along with the plan. I waited about ten days, and she allowed the domain to go live once again. But by then the Pakistani hackers had moved on to other things, and the hosting company apparently didn't notice that my site was back online, and the bomb threats stopped, and now everything's back to normal.

But if it hadn't been for that rogue employee, I would have had my site shut down by terror threats. Totally extra-legal, but it works.

It's basically Alinsky tactics taken to extremes.

And THAT is exactly how the left can (and eventually will) attempt to shut down even private Web sites. Through threats of violence.

true, we need a government that will uphold the law ... so if Hillary is roaming free, magic 8ball says "ask again later".
But still, there is already law that prevents them from going full agitprop political, even if they are getting away with it. They are not private, they (basically) made a contract with their customers, and are owned by shareholders, and must maintain value.

There is a lot of fraud/abuse that came with all that "FreeMoney" due to insane EasyMoney monetary policy, basically since 1982. Greenspan noted it in the early 90's but they kept blowing bubbles. Now we have oligarchs rich enough to buy everything, and they use these social media conglomerates as their weapons.

And most people only care that their retirement funds keep doubling every five to ten years, so screw AmericanLiberty ... make those stocks go UP. Cloward-Piven tied the poor to government, but half of America has invested in Globalism and addicted to the FreeMoney Machine.

bubble bubble toil and trouble ... but the toil part is eliminated if one is riding the stock bubble. cha ching, give me the bling, it don't mean a thing.

Leftist traitors and criminals have been allowed to go scot-free while they used the arms of government to attack the citizenry and are now allowed to use the Special Investigator to go after Trump. Because we have let them get away with all this stuff they (and their allies among the limousine left) feel emboldened to start throwing their weight around.

You start bringing charges against Barky, his close associates, and those in the MFM who have been giving aid and comfort to the enemy (and also those officials giving aid and comfort to an invasion with their "sanctuary for invaders" policies) and this stuff all stops in a moment.

Either leftist criminals and traitors are held accountable for their crimes or we will have to put up with constant attacks by limousine leftists with money to burn.

333 Proposal:

Any internet information service which hosts created accounts numbering in total more than 10% of the population of the United States, as of the previous census, should by law be considered a common carrier and subject to the following laws and restrictions:

First, that total number of accounts shall be across all platforms owned or controlled by any single corporate entity (or non-profit) - - i.e. you total the created accounts for all of Alphabet, Inc. including Google, YouTube, etc., etc - - - ALL internet "sites" owned/controlled by Alphabet (or by Amazon and all subsidiaries, or Wal-Mart and all their subsidiaries, Disney Inc, etc.) are lumped into one big number for purposes of determining common carrier status.

Common carriers will be required to maintain all accounts in good standing without regard to the content of those accounts. Internet information common carriers may only restrict or "ban" accounts after a court with jurisdiction rules that it may do so without violating Constitutional rights of freedom of speech, press, association, gun ownership, etc.

Users of accounts with common carrier internet information providers must be provided by that info provider with tools to filter information that may be received (think "Do Not Call" lists but for information. These filters will be on key words, specific images or videos, or on specific user id's or by IP addresses but may only be implemented by individual users - - - the common carrier internet provider may not implement any filter without prior authorization from a court - - - a "warrant" so to speak.

The common carrier may of its own initiative, or any user of a common carrier internet provider may, petition in federal court for permission to have the common carrier implement a First Amendment Restriction of any individual user.

First Amendment Restrictions may not be applied to groups, but only to individuals.

The court of jurisdiction shall be one within the jurisdiction where the accused user resides, unless it is an anonymous user who has not provided verified name and residence address information, in which case the court of jurisdiction will be where the Internet information provider is headquartered.

In the case where the Internet information provider is a foreign entity and the user is an anonymous user, the jurisdiction shall be the federal district of the United States.

Judicial punishment in cases where a user is found to be subject to First Amendment Restrictions will be limited to the restriction of a person's access to the platform in question, and must be for a "reasonable and limited period" (i.e. no lifetime bans . . . a day or a week for most transgressions.)

If the court should decide in favor of the accused, the Internet information provider (or the individual user accuser in the case where the case is user-generated) shall be liable for all court costs and fees including lawyer's fees for the accused.

I'm sure there's holes and landmines here huge enough to swallow planets, but something's gotta be done.

Write that all up in legalese and call it the "Free and Responsible Speech Act of 2018" or something.

Well the left is really good at taking advantage of systems these platforms use, and the platforms are really good at working with the left to make it happen. Conservatives are more about liberty and allowing stupid and bad ideas to be heard, so people know and can reject them. Leftists are big on censorship and silencing people.

So when there's a system in place to demonetize and silence someone on a platform, the left swarms that to shut people they dislike up. Conservatives see awful stuff and say "that's awful" then post it so it gets more eyeballs, in the attempt to say how awful it is. 383 I think Rush was quoting Alan Dershowitz, who sarcastically said

"A charge so serious, even innocence must not be considered as a defense".

This was the way it was for libel and slander in the past. When you were tried for them, it wasn't to find out if you were actually guilty of the crime. It was presumed you were guilty by the mere fact of being tried. The truth was no defense against these charges, only that it defamed or harmed someone powerful.

It was, in fact, one of those cases in the colonies which was the foundation for our concept of the freedom of speech.

In 1735, a journalist was hauled before the courts for publishing something critical about the governor (a nobleman from England). The defense argued that since the charges were true and accurate, the jury had to find him not guilty. Their charge was to find out how badly to punish the man, not decide his guilt: he was clearly guilty since he published something that hurt and upset the man in power.

The jury nullified the law: they found him not guilty and said "but first you will blow me" to the crown.

394 You know what the young Demonicrats resemble to me? The Red Guards. If you ever seen any film or TV footage of those young Chinese douchebags, you'd see the same behavior in our useless high school and college age twats in America. "Alex Jones is counter revolutionary. Make him wear dunce hat and chant, 'Brave reader, comrade Mao! We kneel before you while you jazz in our faces! We ruv you rong time!" The translation may not be exact, but I feel it captures the ritualistic nature of their behavior.

My Sicilian grandfather use to call Chicagodeep dish "Polack pizza."

As someone whose Paternal Grandparents were from Warsaw and Maternal Grandparents from an Italian island smaller than Sicily, I agree.
Thin crust is much better. That thick crust, deep dish is like a bagel with sauce and cheese.

401 JOncelli, you are welcome...

The sun glinted off the quivering gelatinous moobs of David French, his personal cuck had just lathered him up in a rich mixture of suntan oil and cocoa butter. Life could not be better as the other cuck, Billy Kristol, fed him yet another non-GMO organic grape. Ah how sweet life is for French now that those pesky and icky rubes from flyover country are properly muzzled.

Then the well padded divan he rode in turned to the left slightly causing the sun's baleful rays to slip past the ornate golden tasseled sun umbrella. Poor David French had to squint. "Where are we going?"

The palanquin bearer on the left front staff resplendent in leather chaps and nothing more answered in a soft lisping voice. "Hillary is throwing a luau in your honor."

David French squealed like a little girl and he perked up causing the rotund folds of his flesh to quiver even more. "Oh I do love a good pig roast."

Poor poor David French and his cucks, if only they had seen the sign on the back of the divan before boarding it that read "Dinner, guests."

404 If the Dems argue that censorship is necessary to protect Democracy, they should be pressed to explain why. There's no other option that for them to admit "most people are to stupid to filter fact from fiction. They will do evil if fed lies and vile doctrines". At that point you can respond, "why do you hate socialists? Why do you hate Islam?"

This is what the SJW comics industry did to Richard C. Meyer. They kept telling him, "Hey, if you think our comics suck so bad, go ahead and make your own, and see how well it sells. Put your money where your mouth is, snowflake lol!"

So Meyer did just that, and promptly raised over $300K on his indiegogo campaign. When he cut a deal with Antarctic Press to publish his "Jawbreakers" comic, Marvel SJW comic pro Mark Waid pressured the owner of Antarctic to cancel publication of Jawbreakers, which he did.

So the script is as follows:

* Conservatives are not welcome in our polite company.

* Stop bitching about being banned from our polite company.

* No one is censoring Conservatives. Just go create your own space.

* We need to pressure companies to stop providing this space to conservatives.

Yes. Preaching to the choir is useful.
We do need to develop alternate means of reaching each other.

Of course, what concerns the Left (right now) is not the self-contained conservative outlets. It's the presence of conservative voices where LIVs and independents might hear them.

If we abandon Twitter and Facebook, they've won.

410 Look, ultimately what will happen is the nuclear option: rerouting or monkeying with the IP tables. Right now, we type in "ace.mu.nu" and our browsers go to a certain site (and there are many of these, but most of the time it's Google's list) and look up the actual IP address and redirect to that.

If Google changes what "ace.mu.nu" redirects to on their IP table... Ace is gone off the internet. Unless you know his IP addy, you won't be able to access his site, if your browser uses Google for IP lookups. And that's the default config for most browsers.

I could easily see Google redirecting, say, the Catholic Church's webpage to one of Google's own creation: "This site is a hate filled bigoted wrong think site and if you proceed to visit it, you will be logged and referred to the Human Rights Commission." And well, that's pretty much the end of the internet as a free thing.
