4 Good Morning Morons. Today is Sunday, August 25, 2013. On this day in 1718 New Orleans was founded by French Settlers. It was named after the Duke of Orleans. It was later renamed The Chocolate City after rioters who were stealing everything not welded to the ground. These included the cops who were supposed to be protecting the city.

43 #37 It's like they are acting out that old fairy tale, The Pied Piper of Hamlen.

Remember, the Pied Piper got rid of the rats, but then the townspeople wouldn't pay him. So he played his flute and led all the children away into a cavern, which closed behind them. Only the little crippled boy, who couldn't keep up, was left to tell what happened.

So, the FSA is getting something for nothing, and are being led away. Too late will they realize they are trapped and doomed.

That's what I thought, but I could swear I heard that he was one floor above (or below). He rushed up and shmeared MLK's blood on him for dramatic effect.

Honestly, the left and the Panthers took over the legitimate non-violent civil rights movement and co-opted it for their own ends.

I recall - with major sadness and disgust - how the black "leaders" of that time publicly vilified Jackie Robinson for not going along with them. He died not long thereafter in 1972.

This whole thing is so heartbreaking to me. I was born in 1969 in the south, and never knew there was a "racial thing" in America until probably middle school.

My dad's best friend was black and from my earliest days I spent half of my time in his house (that he and my dad built entirely by themselves). I just look at the things he did for self sufficiency and for his family, I mean for Fuchs sake he built with his own hands, a nice new house with room for his three daughters because his first house was a shotgun shack.

I think about him and my dad everyday because they both taught me a lot, sometimes I am glad he did not live to see the entire breakdown of the black community.

If you were born in 1969 the "racial thing" in the South was already winding down. That was the year they fully integrated all the high schools in my old hometown. Organized segregation and discrimination was gone in the South by the time you started school. There was still a ways to go though in Boston and a few other Northern cities.

Now it is back, except in the opposite direction.

All the free shit has changed the lives of black Americans to the point of no return. 70% of black babies are born into a family with no father. Black men are nothing more than breeding machines.. breeding new takers, and gangbangers.

56 The following is from http://ww2today.com/25th-august-1940-berlin-bombed-for-the-first-time , about the first bombing of Berlin, and indicates that certain human phenonema are consistent over time. It certainly can be seen at the TSA and with certain cops who go into police work to have their manhoods validated and get authority.

"I found it hard to concentrate on my script. The gunfire near the Rundfunk was particularly heavy and the window of my room rattled each time a batter fired or a bomb exploded. To add to the confuseion, the air-wardens, in their fire-fighting overalls, kept racing through the building ordering everyone to the shelters. The wardens at the German radio are mostly porters and office boys and it was soon evident that they were making the most of their temporary authority."

People are being led to believe the Big State will be All-Wise. It won't. It will be All-Human, with the good and the bad humans bring.

58 It would be interesting to quantify the amount of money spent, and the number of federal programs that were developed to help 'poor' black people. I think LBJ is/was probably the source for race-based industries and raced based politics. He and his Democratic party succeeded in creating a perpetual constituency.

The problem as I see it is that the Democratic party has run out of other peoples money. They're going broke fiscally and politically supporting the FSA, so they're looking for permanent minimum wage class to help sustain their coffers and the Treasury's coffers.

It had been widely reported that up to 4 Trillion had been printed out of air and spread around along with the 800 Million or so started by BushCo and finished by Barry's crowd. After scrolling to the end of the report there was a chart showing how much credit and cash was actually deposited in private and Sovereign Central Banks all over the Western World: 14-16 Trillion. And that was 2009, before the QE 1, 2 and 3.

Even if the majority of black people DO understand that the institutional bigotry of the past has largely been eradicated -- and I think they do -- the "Black Leaders" left over from the '50s and their spawn (Jackson, Sharpton, Choom Boy, et. al.) have too much invested in perpetuating the stereotype.

For the race-hustlers, it is all about keeping the Free Shit tap turned on full-force. Not one of them has actually held a real, productive job. Their "work" has been extortion, and like their Mafia kin, they will not let go of that.

If the truth were accepted, Al and Jesse (and President Historic First©) would be living in homeless shelters, still sponging off generous people but having no effect on opinion or policy. The CBC would vanish. So would the SPLC.

77 As a kid, I lived in a Brooklyn apartment house and our "super" Bill and his wife Lottie were the loveliest, most decent people I ever knew. Both were from the deep South and I'm sure encountered some serious bigotry in their day. We just loved them dearly.

Bill would always ask about and offered to help my grandparents (who lived down the street in the next building) with chores, or an errand here and there, as they were getting on in years. I remember that not even a month after he retired, Lottie passed away and then he too some time after that. I cried.

Not sure why I bring that up, but I just look at them and then I look at what the Democrats/leftists and the vampires in the black community that have grown powerful by helping to destroy their own people and this country and it makes me physically ill.

The destruction of that community by those "vampires" is indeed sickening.

80 Several years ago, after my mother died, I was going through some stuff in the house.
Found my mothers little notebook containing her comments and observations about the family experiences in the Air Force at Yakota Air Base in 60-61.

One of the comments stood out, and I will try to paraphrase

"Little VIA is doing well in Japan, but came home today upset and confused because none of the little colored boys would play with him".

Just an interesting snippet from the past.

Oddly enough, he sides with the race hustlers, Black Panthers and radical Muslims instead of seeing a modern color blind society. No one saw that coming. The second was an elderly white man here in SC who's bar I used to hang out at. He died shortly after I moved here. The third was a young adult black female who spewed hate at all things white in the doctor's office while I was getting chemo. Evidently white people were responsible for every evil in history that had ever befallen black people. I had to listen to that spew for a couple of hours until my bag of stuff ran out.

88 To illustrate how important it is to the grievance monger to maintain the anger and hostility that black have been trained to have towards America, white people and Republicans in particular, the movie "The Butler" inserts a rape and murder of the protagonists mother and father by a white landlord that never happened.

The protagonist threatens to quit his service in protest of Reagans policy toward South Africa an event that never happened.

In fact Reagan was the only President to invite Eugene Allen and his wife to a state dinner in his honor.

The film makes Reagan out to be a racist the fact is that the only Pictures of past Presidents to hang in Eugene Allen's were that of Ronald and Nancy Reagan, the rest were stored in the basement.

This is what we are up against. This is the kind of propaganda that is being spoon fed to black America. It must be combated.

Seems like that in DoJ's worldview, if a non-black defends themselves from a potentially deadly attack by a black teenager, they are racist.

Seems like in the DA's worldview. if a black teenager posts facebook comments about their hatred towards "Woods", and having previously attacked non-blacks specifically because of their skin color, and then shoots a non-black, killing them....nothing to see here folks, move along.

Surely there is a middle ground where both these worldviews could meet and find commonality.

It's the Internet. Seriously. The main spring is the Internet. Either folks themselves are in their Internet cocoon (can happen to both sides, as I'm sure we are all aware), or the creative and education classes are (by and large, the liberal internet world) and then make sure to "spread the word", however subtly.

The greatest contributor to polarization in America today is not Rush Limbaugh, but The Huffington Post and Daily Kos. Because people read those sites and are ready to go to "war", just like us, but with more cultural sway.

Media bias? Accelerating, and I think by those two sites. We have reached metastasis in America. They think they can kill off conservatism, and out making a main push.

And if lives are spent in lonely ruin, what matters?

When the opposition is getting 97% of the black vote, anything that cuts into it isa win.

Reminds me, our local utility is going to phase in 'smart meters' over the next two years, earlier then scheduled. This is a good thing.

Currently, if you want to run appliances at off-peak hours to get a discount, you must have a separate meter, separate electric panel --- a big, costly expense taking years to financially recover.

These smart meters will do the work for you. Shift laundry, cooking, air conditioning, etc to off-peak hours and the meter knows, you save money. Win-win for consumer and utility.

Of course, I'd guess the odds at better then 50-50 the government will somehow get involved and tax away the savings.

132 Like all the 1950s rich white families here, we had Servants, domestics, who were all AfAm. The Downstairs folk, at least at our house, were usually the nicest people. Especially, as my older brother often said, compared to most of the backstabbing rich a-holes they served Upstairs at parties. It was racially divided, but not necessarily unfriendly. The 13yo hitchhiker my Grandfather picked up one day became his manservant for life and a grandfatherly figure for me as well, dear old Phinas! (FTR That rich family thing... I've not gone hungry, but that's mostly long past tense.)

There was a time the black folks' kids were just other decent kids, mostly. By the time I was in college, mom's laundress was talking about how unmotivated her kids were. Now, it's been many years since mom hired a black. That's cultural, not racial. Times & circumstances have changed, but the interracial Trust is gone, the mutually beneficial arrangements in the past.

One of the last blacks she employed was a gardener. One day, when I was in high school, mom asked me to deliver something to his home, in the Other World of North Tulsa. (Read up on N Tulsa before & after the 1929 riots - tragic). South Tulsa in those days was white and well-kept. N was... not.

I passed the wall with barbed wire on top that once separated N & S Tulsa, now overgrown and crumbling, and entered a world of poverty and deterioration.

Block after block of You Might Be A Redneck homes (except they were black necks). Unmowed lawns, peeling paint, cars on blocks and sagging people on sagging couches on sagging porches.

Then, I got to my mom's gardener's house. Pretty as could be, an oasis in a swamp. Manicured, weedless lawn, not a shingle askew, plainly proudly kept up. Would be welcome in any middle-class hood. Totally bizarre to see, like a uniformed Marine with a US flag in the middle of an OWS camp. It struck me hard how:

1. yes, my mom always did hire good people, and

2. there wasn't any reason every house in his neighborhood couldn't look like his, except, you know, the Will.

Wikipedia is notorious for being wildly inaccurate.

Let's assume for a moment that she was against abortions (which does not sound right). She was a proponent/evangelist for eugenics. She believed that black people and other non-whites needed to be exterminated to prevent the white race from being contaminated. She was not averse to mass sterilizations, both stealthy or forced/overt.

She was a big hero of the Nazi doctors who used her theories as the basis of their T-4 Programme; euthanasia of the mentally ill, deformed, crippled and other "undesirables." It was this program that was the foundation of the "Final Solution of the Jewish Problem."

She was utterly loathsome and evil.

143 Looking deeper into the electric costs....

My utility charges $0.084 for the first 600 kWh.

Then they charge $0.12 for the next 3923 kWh.

These are power supply charges. On top of that they have delivery charges of $.046 per kWh.

From "I don't look like the presidents you see on the money" to "the cops acted stupidly" to "if I had a son he would look like Trayvon" there is nothing BUT race coming out of TFG's mouth.

162 Smart meters that bill different rates depending on peak or off-peak usage are fine, and I don't object to them.

But I worry that they could be used to control your energy usage, such as remotely changing your thermostat setting. I don't know whether they actually have that capability or if it's just Inforwars-type stuff.

Maybe the utility *can* remotely shut off the power to deadbeats. That would be a big plus for PECO (Philadelphia Electric Co) my local electric utility.

The main reason I chose a different supplier was because I was tired of paying for the deadbeats in Philly. They get all kinds of assistance to pay bills, but still stiff the utility, especially during the winter when they're not allowed to be shut off.

They also have water meters that can do that. A few months ago I got a call from the municipal authority saying they needed to get into my house to change the battery on the sending unit.

It took all of five minutes. They just swapped out the old sending unit, which mounts on the water pipe and is wired to the meter. They said the old batteries lasted for about ten years and the new ones will last twenty. When they left, one of them said, "See you in twenty years."

I wonder if smart meters will increase theft. Not having someone physically 'read' a meter every month -- and actually verify that there's not a gigantic screwdriver bridging the contacts -- probably keeps the honesty rate higher.

181 Ballistic missiles and battleships.
It's not the AP writer. The AP writer transcribes what he's told. The only senior official in the Obama administration who mangles language like that is Obama, and there are no corrections because no one corrects the BOSS.

Ballistic missiles is a term that hasn't be in use since Reagan, not since cruise missiles were invented. Even ICBMs are 'guided' missiles with a ballistic payload.

So the only question is, is it deliberate or ignorant? and to know that you have to be able to read the mind of a dumb fuck.

Simplest explanation is Obama is a flim flam man, a street hustler, a con man who speaks the words without knowing what the words mean, only what effect those word have. Obama is giving background to AP writers pretending to be Billy Badd Ass because the GOP is threatening his money flow with the debt limit and budget resolutions. This is all about money.

This is Obama gutting the military, starting a war, then blaming the GOP for his budget problems.

184 Most cases of electricity theft that I have read about the thieves went down to the hardware store and bought a short hank of 00 cable and used it to jumper around the meter. But it is pretty easy to catch people doing this shit and it is a felony. It is also dangerous as Hell because normally the utility has to open a disconnect in the line that feeds the house before you work inside the meter base. If you do this you have to work it "hot".

In addition it involves putting multiple wires on lugs that were designed for only one lug. Sometimes this results in the house burning down.

187 Whoa. I found out yesterday that my hairdresser's former business partner, who moved to Florida a couple of years ago, was arrested in Fort Myers earlier this month for possessing a huge amount of child pron - some involving kids as young as 20 months.

This guy was a big time Obamabot- I had to bite my tongue until it bled in '08 when I'd go get my hair cut and have to listen to him rave about the greatest of Teh One. Here's the really creepy thing - many of the pics/vids of those kids date from the time he was still here in Wisconsin. My hairdresser tells me his only friends were his (mainly female) clients and once he got to know these women, he'd offer to babysit. So he was cutting these women's hair, being their "friend" - and then molesting their sons (the molested kids were all boys).

My hairdresser also told me that, although she never suspected a thing, she thought it odd that he never seemed to do anything on his days off - never mentioned going to movies or out to eat or sports or anything. All he'd ever say when she asked him about his weekend was he had been "busy" on the computer. Yeah, I guess he was.

He seemed obviously ghey to me, so I was surprised when I first met him and found he had two adult children and grandchildren and his wife (who everyone seems to have liked) died of cancer in the early '00's. His grandchildren were in the photos the police found.

190 #189 Yes, and look at how well that ADA thing has worked out. Now everyone and his brother can sign up for disability and lawsuits abound.

You can't tell me the plaintiff's bar isn't looking to go after some money from the Southern Baptists or the Catholics (although they have pretty much drained the RC treasury already due to the number of lawsuits from victims of the priest scandal, some of whom seen to have appeared only when it became known there was money to be had).

Posted by: Miss Marple at August 25, 2013 11:19 AM (GoIUi)

191 If you do this you have to work it "hot".

This guy (public service union) had the expertise and experience to do it hot. Most likely had 'inside' information about meter reading times and dates. In my neck of the woods some people have used jumper cables fished through walls or outside windows (upper floor rooms) to steal power.

Something I was just thinking about, in the early days of networking there was a network device that used the internal home wiring as the cable. Neat solution to pulling cable (which I did) but it seemed just a little scary to me. So I crawled around attic and crawl space for a couple hours. Long before wi-fi was even thought of.

Which leads to my guess, that the utility is going to use some sort of networking communication protocol to 'poll' it's smart meter to both give and receive information over its own network of electric wires. It won't be TCP/IP (internet protocol we are using) but something proprietary, know only to 'insiders' like my 'friend' the public service union member.

Yeah, your lights just went out. You were 'hacked' by the guy who doesn't like 'right-wingers'.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but I tend to see myself as being ahead of the times and having a slightly higher awareness of reality.

192 Happy Sunday folks:

Story behind the great hymn-

Great is Thy Faithfulness words by Thomas Chisholm

Thomas Obediah Chisholm was born in a log cabin in Franklin, Kentucky in 1866. He received his education in a little country schoolhouse, and at age 16 began teaching there. He became a Christian at age 27, and with no college or seminary training was ordained to the Methodist ministry at age 36. He served as a Methodist minister for a year, but ill health made it impossible for him to continue. He moved to Vineland, New Jersey, where he opened an insurance office.

Always interested in poetry, Chisholm wrote hundreds of poems during his lifetime. He was inspired by Lamentations 3:22-23 to write the text for "Great Is Thy Faithfulness." Those verses read, "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

Chisholm experienced that faithfulness. He suffered ill health most of his adult life, and never made much money –– but he said, "God has given me many wonderful displays of His providing care which have filled me with astonishing gratefulness."

Chisholm sent the words to "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" to his friend, William Runyan, and Runyan wrote the music for this hymn. Runyan was a friend of Dr. Will Houghton, the president of Moody Bible Institute, and "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" soon became Houghton's favorite. Dr. Houghton invited George Beverly Shea, an unknown singer at the time, to sing hymns on the Institute's radio station. Shea, of course, included Dr. Houghton's favorite hymn in his repertoire.

Billy Graham, then a student at Wheaton College, became familiar with George Beverly Shea (and this hymn) through those radio broadcasts, and invited Shea to become part of his ministry. It was through their work that this hymn became popular internationally.

Even though he suffered ill health for most of his adult life, Chisholm lived to the ripe old age of 94. During his later years, he lived in Ocean Grove, New Jersey, a Methodist camp meeting town, where he died in 1960.
