New Yorker Begins The Collective's Coordinated Mass-Hate on Anthony Weiner

Via Twitchy.

As I said in the podcast, it's not true that the media-Democratic complex never goes after a Democrat.

It works like this:

For as long as possible, the Media-Democratic Complex attempts to save a Democrat by either not reporting the story at all, and refusing comment on it, or, if forced to comment, by offering vague condemnations (to pretend they're betrayed) with shows of support for the beleagured leftist (to maintain solidarity within The Collective).

However, at some point, sometimes, this NO ENEMIES TO THE LEFT strategy becomes untenable. At this point, The Collective turns viciously on the one they had been protecting, for two reasons:

1, out of genuine emotional anger at having been forced to protect him so long, and

2, in order to make a Conspicuous Show of their fidelity to the principles they pretend to believe.

They sort of ignore the part where they're actually the last ones to the party and in fact had be pressured/shamed into coming at all.

But to make up for their tardiness, they slather on vehemence.

They will protect you inside the soft, warm, wet Collective, but at some point, if you become a threat to The Collective, they will vomit you out and spit poison at you.

This is the pantomime of the Distancing/Purifying phase.

Objection: Ace, You're Just Describing the Basic Dynamics of a Firing or a Break-Up. Yes yes yes, you're right. Yes, a firing goes this way -- letting the unsuitable worker hang on for far too long, often followed by a decisive, and sometimes hard-hearted, termination.

And so too break-ups, where long-suppressed disenchantments suddenly rise to the surface, resulting in a clear, binary, you-are-out-of-my-life declaration.

But this is the sort of behavior one expects within an organization or within an affiliative relationship.

Yes, it may be normal for the Democrat Party to behave this way when they ultimately fire a troublesome employee.

What's the media excuse for doing the exact same thing, at the exact same time their political wing, the Democrat Party, does it?

Was the media in the same organization as Weiner? Was the media in an affiliative, affectionate relationship with him, which has now been irreparably damaged and must be called off with the finality of a Break-Up Letter?

The answer to these questions is "Yes." The Media Party is the real enemy, and the Democrat Party is just the group of lowlifes whose various drug problems and infidelities are not so notorious as to blockade them from seeking actual elective office.

23 Weiner is getting the same treatment that Silky Pony got.

Remember, it was the National Enquirer that scooped the MFM and when the story wouldn't go away, Edwards got thrown under the bus. BUT... only because Shrillary and SCOAMF were ready to go, and probably the preferred candidates.

Still, as for Weiner, perversions aside, he is about as loud, strident, arrogant and blinkered as a leftist ideologue can be. As we know, the leftists are like genital herpes and always somehow come back. But at least for now, this pencil-necked fuck-face will disappear for a bit.

The Media manages to convince the LIVs that they are, in fact, not biased. And the Dims provide just enough scandals for them to point to and say "see we covered that."
Lost in it all is the amount of time they didn't cover it.
Or the times they tried to even actively cover it up (Wiener People Magazine profile, as an example.)
But I don't expect much else from the LIVs so easily swayed by a cool story.

The Dems have Christine Quinn and Bill Thompson. Of the two, Thompson is actually a decent guy, but he's still a Democrat.

Christine Quinn has major baggage; as president of the city council she and her fellow council members subverted the term limits law in order to let Bloomberg run for a third term. New Yorkers of all stripes are still fuming over that. Plus, the UFT hates her because they perceive her to be anti-union like Bloomberg.

Joe Lhota, the Republican candidate, did not have much of a shot against Weiner or Quinn. But maybe he can make hay out of this, especially if Thompson can win the nomination. For a Dem pol that's been around a while, he doesn't have much name recognition.

Though I would love Lhota to win it all, I would much rather settle for Thompson over Quinn or Weiner.

He's probably attempting to drive all of the companies engaged in one part of fracking out of business. It worked like this: instead of being a full-time government employee,
she now was a special government employee—“essentially a consultant,” as
the New York Times described it. She was allowed to work from home—her New York home—rather than
report to State headquarters in Washington. But she retained her
high-blown title, along with a salary of $135,000 a year—for unspecified
duties.

197 The Texas Attorney General’s office announced Wednesday that it entered into a settlement with Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast requiring that organization to reimburse the state $1.4 million in erroneous and fraudulent billing.

The investigation found that the Planned Parenthood chapter “improperly billed the Texas Medicaid program for products and services that were never actually rendered, not medically necessary, and were not covered by the Medicaid program – and were therefore not eligible for reimbursement,” Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott announced.

198 Ace, you forgot reason number 3 as to when the MSM turns on one of their own

3 - when a better leftist choice comes into competition. Christine Quinn is a two-fer on the box ticking being a)female and b)openly gay

NYC has already had male Jewish mayors with a ton of arrogance, Quinn would enable them to use their favorite word for leftist politics ... HISTORIC!!11!!!

For historic context on this, I refer you to the sudden discovery by the MSM that Hillary Clinton has a habit of fabricating her life stories and is known to be bitchy paranoid control freak. The reason for this come to Jesus moments regarding Hillary coincided with the ascent of one Barack Obama after the Iowa caucus win

Perhaps the political model you are looking for is the Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Essentially, the Government in Islamabad has no control over what goes on there. Occasionally they will send in the air force to bomb or the army to raid but they never stay long. On the other hand, nobody disputes that the Tribal Areas are part of Pakistan.

215 at some point, sometimes, this NO ENEMIES TO THE LEFT strategy
becomes untenable. At this point, The Collective turns viciously on
the one they had been protecting, for two reasons:

1, out of genuine emotional anger at having been forced to protect him so long, and

2, in order to make a Conspicuous Show of their fidelity to the principles they pretend to believe.

They sort of ignore the part where they're actually the last ones to the party and in fact had be pressured/shamed into coming at all.

But to make up for their tardiness, they slather on vehemence.

They will protect you inside the soft, warm, wet Collective, but at
some point, if you become a threat to The Collective, they will vomit
you out and spit poison at you.

This is the entire and utterly transparent strategery of San Fran Nan Pelosi and the Sacramento Bee (among other Lefty-come-lately's) this week: ignore and excuse the liberal Dem scumbaggery (because he's historically cool and always toes the line 110% on proglib policy issues) until the fire of common human decency gets too hot, then half-assedly bail.

216 I used to live next door to an exhibitionist on 14th Street in NYC.

He would lurk in the hallways late at night, hoping for a woman to come along so he could expose himself. No one, from 9 to 90, was safe.

I called the cops on him a couple of times, and they would say, "Oh, you got one-a dem DICKY-WAVERS, hunh? Yeah, we know dat guy." And they would laugh.

That's what Weiner is, in New York cop parlance: a Dicky-Waver. Just a little anthropological detail for your edification.

217 There's another step in there where, immediately after they are forced to address the issue where they claim either that it is:

1. Really the fault of Republicans
2. Equal only to whatever some Republican did - or is thought to have done.
3. Only a complaint or concern to whiny Republicans.

218 What I don't like about Weiner is his politics. I could careless if he has some sort of proclivity for phone sex with women to whom he isn't married. It does, however, show a marked lack of good judgement. If you are a public figure, if you are running for political office, and if you also happen to be a sex addict, either get some help, or use the services of a professional. Weiner should have used some sort of phone sex service or something. Honestly, he had to know that this would all come out again sooner or later. The reason the woman went public is because she realized that Weiner was only using her for phone sex, and she was never going to have a real relationship with him. She was dumb, and she was also jilted. As the saying goes, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned - or used for phone sex.
