49 Dear Mr. Obama,

I do not trust you. I do not trust your alleged administration. I do not trust your mouthpieces in the media, nor your goons in the union mafia. I do not trust a word that comes out of your mouth, especially not when you're telling me to trust you. I consider everything you say to be a profane act committed against my sense of hearing, and every image of you I am forced to view is a vile affront to my sense of sight.

I hope you will live a long life. I want very much for you to see your legacy become a twisted mass of broken dreams and shattered illusions. I want you to be forced to hear children give speeches in their eighth grade english classes about why "Barack Obama was the worst President Ever."

And when you eventually die alone in your home, because Malia and Sasha will have left you long ago in an attempt to distance themselves from their failure of a father, I want you to recognize that the warmth you feel surrounding you as you slowly fade to black isn't the kindly embrace of God.

It's the puddle of urine spreading around your ass as your decrepit dick and failing bladder give your death the only headlines it will deserve: "Disgraced Ex-President Barack Obama dies in bed, Sitting in Puddle of Urine."

Sincerely,
MWR

63 I make my living slicing and dicing data. The data they are collecting is all about creating and identifying a database of "known associates" for all Americans, not just those with foreign connections.

Think about it. If they were focused on people with some suspicious activity, like say a recent trip to Chechnya, wouldn't they have been a little more up-to-speed on the Boston bombers?

What they are setting up will allow the government to input a name, a phone number, an address, a credit card number, and within in a very short period of time (think seconds to minutes at the most) have a complete list of all your known associates, their known associates, their spending habits, places they've stayed, etc. This isn't future stuff. This is stuff you can do at home with the evaluation edition of Microsoft SQL Server. All you'd be missing is the disk space and the means of inputting the data. Combine this with the data the IRS has been compiling about "Patriot" groups, and the illegal collection of Concealed Carry Permit holders, and you have a totalitarian's wet dream of data at your fingertips.

So you need a liver transplant? Let me just put this into the computer...

89 To paraphrase Washington, Government is like fire. It is a necessary tool for mankind but one that must be used carefully lest it grow out of control until it consumes everything in its path.

Beyond that, my problem with this is that there are other ways to protect America from radical islamic terrorists, without violating the privacy of every American. For example, we could disallow visas for visitors from the countries in question and expel their nationals.

Does anyone honestly think this wouldn't do more to protect us from actual harm that this dragnet? Neither 9/11 nor Boston would have happened if we weren't letting these shitbags into the country, no information dragnet required.

So, what they're saying is that they're fine violating the privacy of actual American citizens to avoid violating the "right" of foreign nationals from Muslim countries to come to the US. Fuck them.

100 49 Dear Mr.

Sincerely,
MWR

Our global competitors have taken their measure of our dear leader, found him a fool, a bloviator, a narcissist, a failure, and have now taken a more aggressive posture, as they know they will not be challenged by the simpering fool in the C-i-C seat.

2014 is a very important election. We must gain control of the senate and retain house control. And kick every last dem in the nads with their scandalicious fellow traveler.

Because we need to impeach the SCOAMF out of office. Not that Biden has a clue, but ... my god ... I cannot imagine a worse president at this point.

5 active scandals, several of which are by themselves worse than Watergate. A complicit media, whom deserve as much of the blame for his failure, for their unwillingness to report on it. And then the gullible low information electorate. Whom voted for this failure, twice. I feel embarrassed for your stupidity, and gullibility. Protestations of your moral and intellectual superiority are frankly laughable, with the exhibit A being the failure in the white house.

I am fired up in a way I've not been. Ever. Even 2010 didn't have me wanting to get the dems out.

Tar every one of them with the scandals. Make it stick. Be relentless.

The media won't do their job. Fuck em. Ignore em. They are going out of business anyway, in large part because of how in the tank they are.

136 It's not a person "listening" to every call. It's metadata listing which number called which number at what time, location, duration, etc. What else is going on is data-mining many disparate sources. Interest mapping, association mapping, profile building, and comparing all that to known actors of a particular category is all on the table.

Where a "person" may be "listening" is probably a transcription, and pattern matching within that conversation. Then if red flags are raised, someone might listen to the call recording or to future calls.

Hi, nice of you to stop by.

If you look in your files, you will see trainer has a box full just for him. It's been an interesting life...at least it was earlier. Now it's kind of peaceful.

...except for the crap you and Barky are pulling.

A quick perusal of my files might suggest to you I am not exactly Camp material. My past Military training should send up a few flags, and you know the old saying...'you never forget how to ride a bike.' The last I looked there were about 21 Million like me. I've even added some skills since then...scary, ain't it.

I'm also getting a bit long in the tooth, so if you're going to get hot, please do so soon. I have discussed this with my wife and have her permission to misbehave.

So get hot, fuckers, or get out of my face.

Hey, that's my side of the state, specifically blue, blue King County, which was actually not named for MLK, but some white dude who just happened to be the Vice President when the WashingtonTerritory was created in the 1800's. Several years ago, our then Governor, Christine Fraudoire (remember her, the she stole the gubernatorial election) signed a bill into law that renamed King County after MLK. All the logos, official letterhead, signage on county trucks etc., was changed to honor MLK. (Costs of changing all the logos was estimated to be $600k by The Stranger, a very liberal Seattle rag.)

We all know this is a lie. It's just another play at words.

Voice pattern recognition has been going on for years. I remember my brother telling me he met with someone who explained how they actually did it. So, they do mine for voice patterns and certain words.

All of this spying makes us realize exactly how North Koreans, the Chinese, Russians, etc feel. Always looking over their shoulder, editing their words and calls and parsing out of fear of the unknown.

And what big gov has, it abuses. Fabricating evidence "Because I Could" is nothing new for abusive authoritarians running the show.

Also, "no body" does not literally exclude "some body". Because I Could. Depends on what "is" is.

When I worked for an international telecom company a while back I was part of team making sure we implemented the software that ensured the proper wiretap protocols according to each country's specifications. It was pretty frightening. For example, Thailand required not only free reign to listen in, they required a separate dedicated office (with door locks) on the switch premises to do so (so they could do this without any scrutiny). Even Canada doesn't give its citizens protection from wiretapping (inless things have changed recently). We laughed about it at the time. Not laughing now.

*Side note: our team printed up shirts with the project name and "We listen to our customers" as an inside joke.

If Obama is so committed to keeping us safe (as he claims), and we must be satisfied with these "modest encroachments" on our privacy, how come the All Great and Powerful Gubamint was unable to stop 2 low-life ungrateful immigrant terrorists?

On one hand he is the most hands on Presidet ever, and on the other
he appoints people who just violate laws in ways that Only help him and
he has no clue why or how to stop it.

Here is his way of stopping it: Promote everyone who did something wrong that benefited him. That way they are no longer in the position to cause the same trouble.

238 "No one is listening to your phone calls. This is something different"
Right we get that.
Does anyone remember a US Senator by the name of Joe McCarthy? Aside from being a prick, he was accusing people of being communists because they associated with known communists.

So what does PRISM do? It looks for ASSOCIATIONS.

Now either 'connecting the dots' by associations is a good thing to do, in which case McCarthy was right, or PRISM is doing what McCarthy did.

239 The punishment for treason is hanging, right?

So can we lawfully say the president and his bullshit cronies should be hung for treason?

240 So...what is the fundamental difference between what Mr. Obama demands we agree to, and if the NSA had the same program--but it was the citizen's responsibility to send in hs daily call log, not the service provider? Would that change any perspective at all?

What if the citizen had to have the NSA as his home page every time while connecting to the net? What's the functional difference between that, and PRISM?

241 I will leave this office, sometime in the the next three and a half years.

That's an odd way of phrasing it, unless he plans on quitting or getting impeached before 2016Posted by: seamrog It is odd. But then again we know that the most brilliant man in the world doesn't do math very well.

242 Senate members from all 57 states would have to vote on that...

243 So...with PRISM...I take it remote e-voting proposals, i.e., voting via internet from non-precinct locations, is/are dead for all time now?

And speaking of which, I presume some electronic voting results are sent from precincts to central locations...via public networks. Hmmm....

You've answered yourself.

'We The People' are as nothing but fresh meat to them. It was in THEIR best interest to kick over the anthill, every crisis providing more opportunity to abuse even more authoritarianism.

It IS the government's constitutional duty to protect the nation's territory and citizenry through Constitutional Governance. But not otherwise.

It is not the government's constitutional duty to declare a war on a tactic, not even the tactic called "terror". And go figure how on earth we're winning hearts and minds of the enemy by committing genocide? Where's all that compassionate conservatism given Hillary's Libyan conquest of Arabic Socialism that actually worked for the entire population? "We came. We saw. We killed. Hahahahahaha!"

After 12 years of ongoing warfare, officially declared to be perpetual, especially concerning the constant redeployment of our exhausted troops, who isn't exhausted by the futility of our original "reasons" without clear goals to achieve before returning home, for assenting to this insanity?

Who is actually fooling himself, assuming the moral authority to deliver the "final solution" to any ethnicity? It was wrong of the NAZI to exterminate Jews. But it is right for NATO to initiate wars devastating Middle Eastern nations. As if by displacing populations, or by annihilating them, all problems have been solved. Even Nietzsche knew enough to not become the very evil which one combats. “He who hunts dragons must beware lest he become a dragon himself.”

As for Obama's lecture on "balanced government" mandating public trust in the corrupt people running each branch, don't forget his agenda upon election in 2008. "ONE VOICE" which is what happens given the revisionism of language and the meaning of words in the twisted opposite game to supposedly stupefy the mass population. There is but "One Voice" in government given a dictator, and each branch amalgamated into assuming the role of a different branch. Judges legislate from the bench. Trust them. Congress forfeits literacy, voting without reading or debating bills. Congress acts as the President's jester, entertaining his whims. Congress fails its own sworn obligations to uphold and defend the Constitution as the Supreme Law of the Land. Strike that, via mere policy. And the POTUS is the media fabricated emperor of the "free world" - pfft. Free for the taking. BECAUSE I COULD.

May government officials and employees suffer their own judgments laid unjustly against whomever. May THEIR personal and private records all be open to the public. May THEIR benefits all be denied, unfunded. May THEIR taxes all be audited publicly. May THEIR DNA, blood samples, and body fluids be tested for everything, especially for drug abuse, and posted for the public record. Whatever vendettas that authoritarians organize against their political opponents, may their efforts blow back to the source of sabotage, and be made publicly known in an open record available to all.

247 How does the NSA define a terrorist these days?

Do they include eco-terrorist, tea partier, patriot, GOP voter, gun owner.....

The way I understand your laws, and I could definitly be wrong, any terrorists defense attourney would now be able to dismiss almost all evidence as gathered without a warrant.

248 What a fucking asshole. My dad used to say "....then we're going to have some problems" when we were growing up. This shitbag is not my father and no one needs to be talked to like that from him.

I think it's so nice though that this SOB is getting the same thing that he dished out and encouraged others to dish out regarding George W. Bush.

249 Prism is a good name for what they are doing. Recorded information gathered thru time, emails, internet use... all gathered as they pass thru a switch or satellite then separately the calls and time stamps and routing... all gathered. Big computers in Norway and Utah matches it all up.

Also go read Apple's policy. They do not let government have direct access to their servers. DIRECT. GOVERNMENT. Indirect? Yep. Subcontractor to government? Well you didn't ask that.
