Puffy Faced Woman Who Hates Coal and Childbirth to Run for Senate In Kentucky

It's on like Donkey Kong, if Donkey Kong's face were all swollen due to eating bad shellfish.

Ashley Judd has yet to officially announce her political aspirations, but a source with intimate knowledge of the situation tells FOX411's Pop Tarts column the actress is preparing herself to challenge Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell for his Kentucky seat in 2014.

To be honest I can't even tell the two of them apart. They both look like had a barfight with bees armed with Botox needles.

People are recirculating her mots bouffes (Puffy Words) but no one's asking the important question: What's up with her face? She looks like she's smuggling something in her cheeks. Like Hatred of Children and Everything That Isn't Ashley.

True story - I attended the Kentucky Society of Washington's inaugural ball in 2008. This is a gala that is attended by anyone and everyone who matters in Kentucky politics. Ashley showed up with a couple of ladies-in-waiting (that's the most accurate way to describe them) She sat down at her table and never moved the entire evening. Her ladies blocked anyone from getting within 5 feet of her, no one was allowed to photograph her, and she left early. Now, keep in mind that Muhammad Ali and Evander Holyfield were also at this ball and stood for pictures and shook hands for two hours before the ball. Muhammad Freaking Ali. But not Ashley Judd, nooosirree.

Gov. Martin O'Malley's plan to encourage development of a wind energy farm off the coast of Ocean City cleared a major hurdle Friday as the Maryland Senate passed the bill 30-17.

The proposal, designed to spark an offshore wind industry by subsidizing its developer, now goes to the Maryland House of Delegates. The House has passed a similar bill but needs to consider minor changes made in a Senate committee.

If the project is built, most utility customers would be charged an extra $1.50 per month to pay for the electricity it generates. Maryland already has several land-based wind farms in the western portion of the state.

This session marks the third time O'Malley has tried to pass an offshore wind plan. O'Malley said Friday he was "elated" the Senate passed the bill.

Bullshit. If you factor in all the good energy wasted to make it, ethanol is the dirtiest fuel. Coal is ideally suited to electrical generation. Oil should be reserved for motor fuel, as it is best suited for that role. Natural gas can be used in a myriad of ways.

Methanol is the way to go if people want alcohol fuels. Dept of energy did a pilot plant using the coal conversion LPMEOH process and it produced methanol cheaper than gasoline (even when accounting for the fact that you needed ~2X methanol).

You have to re-engineer the fuel systems for methanol though as its slightly acidic and attacks exposed Aluminum parts. Carb/manifold/piston tops would have to be coated/plated with some barrier material, and different seals used. Its not a big deal, its just something that would need to happen.

Of course LPMEOH went nowhere, because its that evil *COAL* shit.

A small amount of that is inevitable because there is no shielding on most sound card / mobo set ups.

Try a different h-phone jack if you have an option. Also, after your next shutdown, open up the case, and reseat the power connectors and plugs.

Further options, get a cheap sound card with SPDIF if you have an open slot. Then run it through your home theater system, or get a DAC (Digital to Analog Audio Converter )to connect your h-phones.

Seriously now, "clean coal technology" means burning coal with practically no smoke or fly ash. CO2 is not a pollutant, and does not need to be sequestered. Sequestration schemes are mostly shell games. It takes a great deal of energy to compress CO2 and pump it into the ground, so a lot more coal has to be burned to make the extra energy. Net result: more coal burned, a reduced rate of CO2 emission per ton burned, but more tons burned to deliver same mWhr to the customers.

Modern coal plants now are so clean, that the only "smoke" you see is water vapor rising from the cooling towers. Maybe you have some legacy coal plants in your area that don't meet that standard, but the ones near me are super clean. And they are right on the mine site, so transportation issues are negligible.

I'm mostly with you on that, but natural gas is kind of expensive for use as baseload electrical generation. It is ideal for peaking plants, though, because the turbines can be brought up to full output very quickly. Nuclear is best for the long term, but coal will keep us going for very long time.
