Wonderful. Woodward, of course, claims Obama himself must not know about this and that he'd be scandalized if he knew his aides were pursuing a Do Not Dare Question Us strategy with reporters. I spent the entire day at a DARPA review, and lots of folks discussed how sequester will hurt them. Not one damn word of whining, though, just acknowledgement of how this will change what they do, and how to minimize the impact. So, take your question and stuff it.

Now when they start selling is the time to be a little more leery as it means they're buying something else to keep their money safe and productive (sometimes neither).
You can't predict the economy by watching a game of texas hold 'em.
The stock market usually is not anticipatory. They're not fucking seers over there. They may see trends but they can't see the future. (or futures either)

Finally, if the Japanese had been able to carry out a massive sneak attack or sabotage, the local ethnic Japanese population might have fallen victim to reprisal attacks, or be caught up in the response to the initial assault.
The real sin of the Japanese internment was not that it was done at all, but that it was done in such a way that cronies of the government profited handsomely from the sale of confiscated Japanese property; at least that is how it went down here in Canada.
