Show Me on the Doll Where I Touched You. Slowly. Make it Hot: Bob Menendez Sponsoring Comprehensive Sex Education Bill

Outstanding.

RS McCain wrote a post about one sex educator. The post isn't really about her, though. It's about this scam of an industry.

The GOP has no appreciation for the concept of value. There's cash value in lots of stuff, even in information, for instance.

In this case I'm referring to political value.

There's political value in $3.79/gal gas.

There's political value in a corrupt Democrat's immoral disgusting sexual lifestyle.

The editors, they turn to each other and say - It is a good thing that the girl can stay here without having to show identification and that there will not be a pregnancy thanks to the ObamaCare.

And then the NYT Board makes it an editoria.

54 Puritans.....the first fanbois

The funny thing, given their reputation today, is that the original Puritans had so many nice things to say about sex that they were accused of believing in free love. They actually thought that sex was pretty wonderful, and said so quite often, but were also very careful to keep it within strict limits of marriage and out of the public eye.
There is a neat book called "The Worldly Saints" that does a nice job of debunking most of the modern myths about the Puritans, with quotes from their own writings.

But it fits right in with the Goals of Our Enemies. How best to distract the pubic from the important stuff going on that to appeal to the lowest common denominator? Make sex the be-all and end-all of life. If it feels good, do it. Just do it.

Indoctrinate children, "teach" them about sex long before they're able to handle it emotionally. Point the finger at those who would protect kids from premature exposure to it and call them "prudes" and "outdated Puritans." Even better, crowd out other subjects such as math, science and American History and replace it with sex-ed. Show deviant lifestyles on TV and make people (especially children) think it's somehow normal.

Feminize the culture, show men as bumbling fools who can't find their ass with both hands and a flashlight at every opportunity, hundreds of times a day if you can. Show all men as rapists-in-waiting.

Sex is everything, and everything is sex in the Brave New World Order.

78 Sex and chocolate. But about chocolate:

Fact: Chocolate farmers are basically slaves.

As we mentioned, many of us enjoy chocolate every day. Unfortunately, we are about to make you feel really guilty about it. Have you ever wondered where your chocolate comes from? Most of it comes from the labor of children, it is believed that in Africa alone, somewhere in the range of 56–72 million children work on chocolate farms. These children are often tricked into working or sold into slavery outright and end up living out their lives working on these farms for the profit of others. The children who have it better live on bananas and corn paste. The unlucky ones are regularly flogged like animals.

One child interviewed said that he was tricked into believing he would be earning money to help his family, but that the closest he gets to compensation are the days he is not beaten with a bicycle chain or the branch from a Cacao tree. The child has never even had occasion to try the food he spends his life slaving away to produce. Some would suggest that we buy Fair Trade, the problem is that Fair Trade does little if anything to help.

It was the most boring sex ed book ever written. Not a lot of lascivious details.

89 "I suppose even if our side went to the trouble to create a study that shows conclusively that these bullshit 'education' programs don't work, none of this shit would change."

There have been dozens of such studies and, no, it doesn't matter. Because the point is NOT to reduce STDs and teen pregnancy.
In any case, it doesn't take a "scientific" study to tell you that teen pregnancy and the incidence of STDs have skyrocketed since modern sex-ed has been adopted. Whether sex-ed is a contributing cause or not is debatable. What is not debatable is that it has NOT been a cure.

The other day I happened to flip past VH-1. They air reruns of SNL.

The skit I saw was with Dan Akroyd as Boehner in a strategy meeting with other Republicans.

(The funny part is that we all know that these strategy meetings never take place.)

So they're sitting around trying to decide on the best way to attack Obama. You see, Obama is just so great they couldn't come up with anything.

The smear-skit ends when they finally decide to go after Obama's daughters!

hahaha, isnt that funny? and doesn't it also disgust you and hate the Republicans? that's the point! you get it!

The idea is planted into the mush brains of their audience: Republicans attack Obama's little girls. Ha. Ha. Ha.

But that's how politics is done. Democrats understand value. Value in lies when they become "widely held beliefs."

109 Commissaries make plans to close Wednesdays
By Karen Jowers - Staff writer

Commissary officials will close all stores on Wednesdays if sequestration takes effect, according to a memo to all commissary employees sent Feb. 21.

Defense Commissary Agency headquarters will also close on Wednesdays. The closures would begin in late April and continue through September.

“These actions, in effect, will furlough every DeCA employee one day a week for up to 22 days,” DeCA Director Joseph Jeu wrote in the memo, a copy of which was obtained by Military Times.

The original justification for all of this crap was the high rate of teen-age pregnancy ca. 1960.

IIRC,
most of those "teen pregnancies" belonged to married 18- and
19-year-olds. Was in a quilt group once where half the ladies at my
lunch table were married within a year of high school (the other half
within days of graduating "normal school.")

137 The idea that the Puritans were over zealous religious fanatics who never had any fun is a myth. That myth probably comes from claptrap like the Scarlet Letter which I was forced to read in High School.

The Puritans were actually Calvinist reformers that abandoned the Church of England because they though that the church was "too Catholic".

And the other myth is that they came to the Americas because they wanted "religious freedom". The colony they founded was anything but free on religion. Ask zombie Anne Hutchinson about freedom of religion in the Puritan colony.

You're right, my comment about the children was kind of stupid. I don't think, however, you can chalk everything up to culture when there is a real lack of education on matters that would save lives on that contitnent.
