My thinking is this: If the economy collapses, and if people end up rioting for food, and if people end up starving and dying in the violence, then it is only reasonable to make martyrs out of the people most responsible for precipitating the whole catastrophe.
If you make enough martyrs, they won't be martyrs. As the French Revolution consumed those who incited it, let this next revolution consume those who incited it as well.

If we had a media in the business of informing people, it might be better known.
This is a great example of media malfeasance. I remember back when partial birth abortion was a national issue of some prominence. You would think that at least one major newsrag, one network, would explain what the procedure is. None did.
The little people cannot be trusted with information. They might come to the wrong conclusion.

Regarding Republicans in the Primary, if you are referring to Akin and Murdock, neither of them would have said such foolish things without the media constantly prompting them for it in a way they never do with Democrats.
Regarding how unnerving is the conversation, it is my great fear that the only thing holding up our national currency is momentum and fear. The numbers I see keep telling me that it is an avalanche which has piled up, and it will eventually fall. I see very grave disaster and loss of life for many people, and I think the suffering will be immense.
With that in mind, do you think I should feel no urge for revenge at the people whom I perceive to have driven us to disaster? I hope I'm wrong and the disaster never happens, but at this point, I don't see an alternate future.

If we even were there doing something shady, which McCain would probably not do - my problem with him is he is a Paladin who gets manipulated. We would have had a destroyer in the harbor.

Well, the difference is that Obama has given himself the right to KNOWINGLY and PURPOSEFULLY target Americans.
Not by accident, or collateral damage. On purpose. The target. That's NOT "exactly the same thing".
IIRC (and I do) Booosh never had a position paper giving him cover to do what Obama is doing. If he had, Obama's paper would be superfluous.
