New York Times: In an Article Noting That Tax Hikes are Crushing American Dreams, Writer Forgets to Include Any Mention of Barack Hussein Obama

It's embarrassing. It's shameful. It's amateur.

Like millions of other Americans, they are feeling the bite from the sharp increase in payroll taxes that took effect at the beginning of January. There are growing signs that the broader economy is suffering, too.

Chain-store sales have weakened over the course of the month. And two surveys released last week suggested that consumer confidence was eroding, especially among lower-income Americans.

While these data points are preliminary — more detailed statistics on retail sales and other trends will not be available until later this month — at street level, the pain from the expiration of a two-percentage-point break in Social Security taxes in 2011 and 2012 is plain to see.

....

“It’s just gotten out of reach,” Mr. Andrews said.

It's an age-old political trick for the courtiers of the king to keep him away-- keep him physically away -- from any scandal or dead body. Hustle him away, so that His Lordship isn't associated with the outrage or the death.

That tradition continues into the modern day; the President announces good news on television, so that you'll associate that good news with his smug face, but the White House staff leaks out bad news on cheap paper full of dry words on Friday at 8pm with no mention of the president so that you don't associate that with him. And also, so you barely even here about it.

I expect this behavior from the White House.

What's the NYT doing? Are they now officially White House staff, or what? They won't even mention the president's name in a story about the effects of the president's policies.

The other great tradition of royal courtiers is to delude the monarch into how well things are going for the serfs.

The original idea of a Potemkin village wasn't to fool the populace. It was to convince Catherine the Great that she didn't need to change a thing.

52 We all know that the media is the enemy but I still would like to emphasize how true that is and how calculated the damage being done to our country is. In any other profession if one does their job poorly the impact is small and localized. A surgeon fucks up and his patient suffers. And probably his family. But I don't. And you don't. And 300 million other Americans don't. Same with a lawyer fucking up or an electrician or whatever. But when the press malpractices it affects all of us. Entire nations are affected when the facts are teisted and mis-represented or just plain omitted.

These fuckers in the media are openly and blatantly flaunting their malpractic eright in our faces. And we do nothing about it. What the hell can we do about it? The only thing I can think of would get me banned.

Anyway, I know I'm preaching to the choir and I'm stating the obvious but apparently at least half of what I used to call my fellow citizens can't seem to give a fuck.

Indeed.

At every turn they need to be called out as leftists.

It's an easy retort that needs to be "in the bag" as Breitbart would put it.

The comeback will be that oh Fox News is biased.

One simple way to disarm that. On the eve of the 2000 election, Fox News BROKE the story about GWB's DUI. I guess their alleged bias doesn't prevent them from reporting the fucking NEWS and FACTS.

Which makes all the difference. Everyone has biases. But you still do your fucking job.

On the eve of the 2012 election, 4 Americans were murdered by terrorists. Obama didn't even pick up the phone. And yet this was covered up by all media.

If I ever met him, I know I would have an irresistable urge to reach up and try to scratch it off.

It reminds me of the scene in Uncle Buck, where John Candy has to stare at a principal who had a huge mole and pretend not to see it.

We need caricatures of him where his mole is bigger than his skinny head.

112 The time has come, my friends, for national dialogue on the necessity of having universal background checks and licensing, media malpractice insurance, computer registration, and other common sense regulations regarding the safe practice of free speech in America. If it can save but one life, we owe it to ourselves - nay - we owe it to our children.

Too long have criminals and usurpers plied their trades unfettered by common sense regulations, which we now see have become necessary in this day and age.

's an age-old political trick for the courtiers of the king to keep him away-- keep him physically away -- from any scandal or dead body. Hustle him away, so that His Lordship isn't associated with the outrage or the death.

The most egregious modern-day example: the sainted Franklin Roosevelt pulled us out of the Depression, saved us from fascist tyranny, provided for the poor and downtrodden. Meanwhile, the US Government interned the Nisei without trial in a shocking abuse of human rights.

Oh.

Um, who signed the Executive Order interning the Nisei? Anyone? Bueller?

Dear Stupid Bitch,

To correct your thoughtlet, it's a lot more expensive to eat food marketed to dumb shits as healthier, but which in fact is not one iota healthier than the comparable item anywhere else.

You must be one of the dumb asses who actually follows the "Lather Rinse Repeat" instructions on shampoo, and does not recognize it for the marketing ploy it is.
