McCain: Don't Filibuster Hagel

Thus forsaking the only likely avenue of keeping an idiot (and anti-semite... allegedly) out of the important SecDef job.

The story's at Politico. But it's really not a story so much as a sentence. McCain says that filibustering Hagel would be "inappropriate," and the proper method of registering one's disapproval is to simply vote "Nay" on his nomination.

The Democrats, of course, will vote lockstep in favor of him, and thus he'll become SecDef. The only way to stop this would be through the filibuster, with 40 Republicans refusing to close debate on his nomination.

2 Looks like this one. (Been a while since a good old fashioned double-post!)

4 And remember he is fighting McConnell by saying that. Typical McShitty, stab your own Party in the back. He has defined the term RINO.

And he wonders why the base did not turn out in droves for him in 2008.

5 Okay, which of the double posts will survive?

This is why I'm happy Romney seems to have dropped off teh face of teh Earth-- one less former terrible standard-bearer to remind us how boned we were and are.

8 Gee, why am I not surprised that Juan McLame wants to go the douche route.

You know, sometimes I wonder if Meggy Mac got her stupid from her father, or vice versa.

9 I mean-- "best of a bad field" is a pretty low bar these days. (Though Hagel doesn't even meet that, so.)

14 Just think. he could have been POTUS in 2000, and we would have had Prez Barry Soetoro in 2008! Thank goodness we avoided that

Hagel is incompetent. Obama might as well asnominated Ahmadinejad. TheGOP missed every other hill - they might as well fight right here. They have to learn how to say no as even more important fights come forward.
