| Media's Latest Hoax/Stupidity: Guy Who Demands an Answer and, After Waiting for an Answer for Five Seconds, Receives an Answer, was Monstrously "Heckled" by Cruel Right-WingersThe money shot of the video is at 15:20, when the guy -- a grieving parent of a son murdered at Newtown -- demands to know what possible reason anyone could offer that AR-15s should be legal. At first you might think this is a rhetorical question; the audience in fact takes it as rhetorical, and doesn't answer. Then he scans around the room, looking for someone to answer, and, as everyone's silent, concludes, as he'd intended, that no one has a good answer. At that point, people realize that their respectful silence is being taken for assent, and they begin chiming in "The second amendment." The media's claim? he was callously "heckled" and interrupted while speaking. Oh, and from plonked, even more proof of Obama's passion for Doing Skeet.![]() Comments1

- the only right where you are expected to prove a "need" for it. - the only right that they will take away from millions of citizens due to the actions of a handful of criminals. 9-11-01 - we dare not profile muslims. If we wish to play this game--We can go find a father of a dead Marine or soldier from Iraq, 2006, to prove our point that thou shalt not question winning wars while in one, because it gives enemies hope. Since the enemy in fact eventually lost, the lack of support for the war caused deaths that needed not happen.
What possible reason do you have to protest a war while we are engaged in one? I'm sure many a parent of a dead serviceman wishes to know. Who will contradict them? If civility wished by the left ruled in America, none. Posted by: B. at January 29, 2013 03:49 PM (kTLp1) 66

How many laws were broken BEFORE the shooter opened fire?
But, you see, laws against mere murder or theft or carrying a weapon on a school campus have nothing to do with whether someone could have the gun in the first place. If his mom hadn't had those guns, he wouldn't have broken all those other laws! {Okay, now I feel dirty} Obviously Liberals have never watched those "Amazing Cop Video!!!!" shows which always (as in: almost without fail) have the cops forced into a standoff by someone with a sword, or a bow and arrow. ok @TXAV8R on Twitter had a good suggestion.
After getting caught for the 5th time making a deceptive audio/video edit to drive a narrative, from now on let's call this NBC outfit what it is. It is not 'News'. It is propaganda. So from now on, on the internet and on Twitter and other social media, let's all call it either NBC "News" or NBC Propaganda. Fox News got caught making this kinda deceptive edit to audio/video just ONCE, there would be 24/7 coverage in the MSM, calls for Congressional hearings, FCC inquiries into revoking licencing, etc. But "NBC Propaganda" can get caught FIVE TIMES IN ONE YEAR doing this shit = *crickets* Enough is enough. No Conservative blog or Republican speaker should *ever* refer to this contemptible propaganda outfit as merely 'NBC News'. It's NBC "News" or NBC Propaganda. Let's stop giving them any legitimacy whatsoever. Posted by: drawandstrike at January 29, 2013 03:51 PM (uVLJc) 81

Once again, because I have the God-given natural right to defend my property, my family, and myself from those who wish to do me harm, whether those persons are criminals, other citizens, foreign invaders, or the government. Because that right exists prior to the state, the state cannot take such right away from me. The 2nd Amendment merely codifies that the government cannot infringe on this natural right. The 2nd amendment shouldn't be necessary because it should be clear from our history and our founding document (the Declaration) that our natural God-given rights exist prior to the state because they come from God. The Constitution, being a document that grants limited enumerated powers to the federal government, does not grant any rights to the federal government to infringe on these God-given rights. But thankfully, enough founders in their wisdom sought the inclusion of the Bill of Rights.
I am sorry for his loss, and he is certainly welcome to testify. Equally compelling testimony could easily be found, if one were to look, of people who used such weapons to defend their property, their families, and themselves. At the end of the day, you could tell me that by removing these type of weapons would cut crime in half. It wouldn't matter. It is a God-given right. It existed prior to the United States. It existed prior to Newton, and it cannot be infringed. If you didn't drop it in the sewage first. Some caste thing, I dunno. He'd collect the sporks and sell them to the mulagatanni joint downhill. Haha yeah, don't go there! Yeah so the kid--seriously now--I found this out after I got sent to China to get the civil war there going--it's incredibly touching--this poor kid was saving up his spork money to buy a guitar, right? Because politicians, the MFM and their hangers-on are harassing, demonizing and threatening me and my like.
. Because historically that kind of behavior presages worse. . And because it scares them. It's a deterrent effect against a ruling class that considers the 'consent of the governed' a quaint notion. . Also, gangs, home invasions, riots etc. . Need I add MFM delenda est, because they're liars? Posted by: Merovign, Dark Lord of the Sith's mobile at January 29, 2013 04:37 PM (fKyp3) 201

"...what possible reason could anyone offer that AR-15s should be legal?"
For the same reason that if the shooter had instead stolen the keys to a cement mixer and crashed it into the school building at 70 mph, no one, NO ONE, would say the first fucking word about banning truck keys, cement mixers, or drivers licenses. Also because the government has no authority to take them from us. If you don't limit government, you get unlimited government, like North Korea.

"204
Also because the government has no authority to take them from us. If you don't limit government, you get unlimited government, like North Korea." The more I think about the 2nd Amendment, the wiser and more humble I think the Founders were. To leave (and not just to leave, but to recognize the right to them) the implement's of government's potential destruction in the hands of the people really marks a dividing line in world history. Anyone who wants the mass of humanity to return to a world in which that right is not recognized is historically illiterate or too stupid to be listened to. "why would anyone NEED a weapon like this"
In America everything is legal, until is made illegal. Defense against crime is legal in America, and the people of Newtown chose to make certain kinds of defense illegal in their schools. For everything made illegal there is an explicit threat that the common man will be forced to submit by any means the government feels necessary, up to and including lethal force. So the law abiding people of Newtown complied and did not provide for their own or the children's defense in their schools. As for the mass murder, the criminal is alone to blame for the crimes committed, yet some would argue that something about society contributed to it. A liberal think tank found that there is essentially no record of a mass murderer being stopped by a armed private citizen, missing from the report is an elementary observation that no shootings occurred in the pressence of an armed private citizen escalated to a mass shooting. So, the people of Newtown should be blameless in disarming themselves or culpable? So, why would anyone NEED a weapon like this? That is not the question. The question is why should we allow an authoritarian thug dictate under the threat of execution by cop that anybody else comply with their fail laws, and do so so solely because they did fail? /needs work Posted by: Obamao at January 29, 2013 05:24 PM (JtyGg) 209

I'm a father too. I'm not going to sacrifice my ability to defend my family to soothe his grief. I'm sick of unassailable victimhood being used as a cudgel in politics. This should be said to this man ten times in a row. Posted by: JDR-Taq at January 29, 2013 05:29 PM (e7KZr) 210

Heckled? He should've been shouted down for his nonsense. Even if the government could confiscate all the guns in the US, it wouldjust create a black market, and guns will be smuggled in via our porous borders. Then you'll see somereal violence.
I understand his emotional reaction due to his loss, so now he wants us all defenseless. And don't give me that "assault weapons" semantic bs. Posted by: Amalgamated Cliff Divers, Local 157 at January 29, 2013 05:37 PM (Ph479) 213

Why would anyone need a weapon like this?
You could ask those 300 plus dead Mexican citizens that our Attorney General helped murder by giving weapons to drug cartels. They won't be answering, so I'll try. My default position is supposed to be that my government means me and mine no harm? That they respect my rights? When monkeys fly. Also.
"Why would anyone NEED a weapon like this" Oh that's easy! Because there are crazy persons who want to illegally take them from me. And the reasoning behind this is quite simple, too: those types of people who want to restrict our natural rights are the most dangerous types of tyrants of all. To wit: "Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." As long as there are those who thirst after power over others, the sad fact is that efficient means to protect ourselves must be available. The fact that the left can't seem to take a powder without a power-grab is rather proving that point. Posted by: The Ghost of Flannery O'Connor at January 29, 2013 10:49 PM (8V74Y) 227
