Sheryl Attkisson Tears Into Administration Over Benghazi Stonewalling, Evasion, and Deception

There was once a conception, popular in the press, that it was supposed to be a check on the government. And that only an antagonistic and hectoring posture towards the Current Power could keep that power from degenerating into abuses.

Much like a criminal doesn't commit a major crime if he thinks he's being watched. But when he thinks there's no one watching -- that's when he does something just terrible.

The press used to believe this. It was always something of an aggrandizing, self-flattering conceit, but certainly it had some good to it.

Contrast that Old School position with the New Skool "reporters" who imagine their jobs as consisting chiefly of supporting and defending the current Government Power (so long as it's liberal, I mean) and attacking and criticizing those who themselves would challenge Government Power.

The old conceit might have been annoying -- but the new one is flat-out dangerous. And will, in fact, lead to abuses.

Sharyl Attkisson is of the old school.

One of the last reporters in major media who will actually ask the administration uncomfortable questions, one of the last reporters in major media who thinks it's important to demand questions from the President, rather than offering excuses to his critics.

I used to think that my fellow Americans even if they disagreed with me on a given issue were sincere in their beliefs (since then the anti war movement totally blowing Obama even when he bombed Libya and continued both wars has disabused me of that view, I think they were lying when they protested wars now during Bush's presidency). I now view other Americans as not only casting uninformed votes for the large part, but lying to me, and themselves about everything they supposedly care about. All so they can embrace some cocksucking politician.

Add to that the fact the political leaders I vote for stab me in the fucking back at every fucking opportunity. I really see no reason to fucking care anymore or even do anything other than vote every 2 to 4 years.

I think they were first notified at the State Dept. situation room around 5 pm Eastern?

Maybe 4 pm.

Here is a bit on the Deputy National Security Advisor--

Early Career

From 1996 to 1999, McDonough worked as an aide to the House International Relations Committee,[6] where he focused on Latin America.[2] McDonough then served as a senior foreign policy advisor to Senator Tom Daschle.[4] After Daschle's re-election defeat in 2004, McDonough became legislative director for newly elected Senator Ken Salazar.[4] McDonough later served as a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress in 2004.[2]
In 2007, Senator Barack Obama's chief foreign policy advisor, Navy reservist Mark Lippert, was called into active duty and recruited McDonough to serve as his replacement during Lippert's deployment to Iraq.[4][7] McDonough continued to serve as a senior foreign policy advisor to Obama during his 2008 presidential campaign.[2]

The official says a protocol set forth in a classified presidential
directive calls for the Counterterrorism Security Group (CSG) to be
convened in the event of a possible terrorist attack. According to a
public military document, the directive was designed to "synchronize the
efforts of all the government agencies that have a role to play in the
Global War on Terrorism."
The Administration also didn't
call on the only interagency, on-call, short notice team poised to
respond to terrorist incidents worldwide: the Foreign Emergency Support

notification and can provide "the fastest assistance possible."

When you and your entire extended family are dependent on the federal government for your job, your health insurance, your health care, the safety of your private property, the protection/safe-guarding of your medical and legal/tax records, and for objective fairness in your dealings with the IRS, you tend to have a lot of "I can't recall!" moments.

When asked why the FEST wasn't utilized, a State Department official
said it was used previously in East Africa because of damage sustained
to a U.S. Embassy "to help restore communications and other
infrastructure support. In this case, that was unnecessary at Embassy
Tripoli."
A White House official told us that at the
start of the attack, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Martin Dempsey and
Defense Secretary Leon Panetta "looked at available options, and the
ones we exercised had our military forces arrive in less than 24 hours,
well ahead of timelines laid out in established policies." He also said a
"small group of reinforcements" was sent from Tripoli to Benghazi, but
declined to say how many or what time they arrived. The Pentagon moved a
team of special operators from central Europe to Sigonella, Italy but
gave no other details. Ambassador Stevens and three other
Americans died in a protracted battle over the course of eight hours.
It's believed two of the victims, Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen
Doherty, died in a mortar attack some six or seven hours after the U.S.
Mission was first overrun by a terrorist mob that burned buildings and
used AK-47 rifles, bombs, and mortars

In the days after the assault, counterterrorism officials expressed
dismay over what they interpreted as the Obama Administration's
unwillingness to acknowledge that the attack was terrorism; and their
opinion that resources which could have helped were excluded.

Counterterrorism
officials from two agencies said they concluded almost immediately that
the attack was by terrorists and was not spontaneous. "I came to this
conclusion as soon as I heard the mortar rounds were impacting on top of
the building our people were occupying," says one. "The position of the
mortar must be plotted on a map, the target would have to be plotted,
computations would be calculated that would result in the proper mortar
tube elevation and the correct number of powder bags to be attached to
the rounds."

Not really. Think of it as the Long March / FCC / Big Corporate Political Donor complex.

NYT is near going out of business, a Friend of Soros props them up. Beck tries to buy a network, they refuse to sell to him.

It's an ideologically-driven monopoly, moral and intellectual price-fixing.

The far left was not just toking and making shit up at random when they came up with these plans. It was well thought-out, while we were worried about our personal futures, families, and values, they were engaging in the detailed calculus of manipulation.

It's horrifying, but it works.

Always remember, they aren't selling ad time, they're selling audiences. The left has a deeper interest in buying audiences, the right thinks that's "icky" and wants to depend on "being right."

Oh, the person screaming was [DOJ spokeswoman] Tracy Schmaler, she was
yelling not screaming. And the person who screamed at me was Eric
Schultz at the White House."

Go to a doctor if you can't shake it.

First steps before doing that:

Get supplies and arms for defense and survival.
Squirrel away as much money as you can.
Think of yourselves as The Resistance.
Write down the truth for your grandchildren, and put it somewhere safe.

We are faced with bad. bad times and evil in our nation. Getting depressed is understandable, but you have to pull yourself together and keep going.

Give it 2 weeks and if you cannot shake it, go to a doctor.
