A post I hoped I'd never have to publish.

But you can use this thread to sing songs about how Wonderful Obama's first term have been -- how he's solved every problem and made us all prosperous, free, and safe -- and how the next term, by gum!, will be even betterer.

I'm really glad the unemployment rate has declined from 7.8% to 7.8%! The latter indicating 7.8% of a greatly diminished employment pool, by the way.

28 Daughter applied for a job today to tide her over while she decides whether or not she wants to go back to school in nursing.

Visiting old people and helping them with cleaning, cooking, and meds. NINE DOLLARS an hour and you pay your own gas, and most of the patients are 20-30 miles away.

I told her to forget it.

I will support her while she goes to nursing school, if she decides to do so. I cannot see her doing this (she alredy has a Master's in library science). There are no jobs, and those that are available pay very little. It's why so many are leaving the workforce.

Obama has done many things during his time in office that are clearly impeachable offenses.

Obama has willfully ignored our laws. He ordered his Justice Department to no longer enforce the Defense of Marriage Act, and has consistently refused to allow States to enforce immigration law. He ignored the WARN Act just before the election. He refused to prosecute New Black Panther Party members who disenfranchised voters in Pennsylvania. He will not allow illegal immigrants married to homosexuals to be deported. And he oversaw the huge Fast and Furious Operation and subsequent cover-up, an illegal operation meant to gain support for gun control that led to the deaths of several Americans.

Obama appointed three officials to the National Labor Relations Board in January without Senate approval—even though the Senate was in pro forma session. Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution gives the President authority to appoint senior federal officials if the Senate is in recess. In this case, they were not.

He has violated Habeas Corpus by signing into law the National Defense Authorization Act, which allows the government to detain United States citizens without a trial.

Whether Obama’s actions relating to the tragedy in Benghazi, could be considered impeachable or just shameful is a matter of debate. What we do know is that our Libyan Ambassador, J. Christopher Stevens, and three other Americans are dead because “Commander in Chief” Obama did absolutely nothing to help them when they came under attack. Then, he lied about what happened to cover up his misdeed and tamp down the controversy before the election.

I imagine it's the sausage making equipment. A small electric grinder (I have a hand crank grinder, but fuck that) and smoker for making 20 lbs at a time isn't that expensive. I have both, mostly it's just extremely time consuming. As in an all day affair.

But if you're going to be making sausage in quantity, the costs go up very fast.

This is a very good development. I think humanity will be far better served when the class of people who make their living at make believe are no longer able to rent seek their way into wealth on the basis of what little bit of work they put into it.

I think you "get" this point.

I often point out that prior to the development of Film, Actors were considered to be the utter trash of the community, fit for little more than associating with drunk bums, prostitutes, gamblers and thieves. The sort of people who went into acting were usually of low moral character, and habitually pursuing debauchery in all it's forms. Their audience were relatively small, limited to what could be fit into a theater, and their revenues were likewise small.

With the invention of film, suddenly they could appeal to much larger audiences, and as a result, they could receive much greater compensation. This gave them the opportunity to "preach" at the audiences with their "art", and it gave them the financial means to support political ideas which they favored.

They were still the same shitty gutter-trash type of people, but now they had the means to influence others which they did not have before. We need to return them to pauperism and sever them from their ability to finance lifestyles and politicians who are against the best interests of our nation.

Copyright law nowadays is just insane. At the time the Constitution was written, copyrights and patents were both 20 years. Patents are for things which are actually useful and benefit mankind, yet they are only protected for 14 years. Why are patents only good for 14 years? I will argue that something which is useful to all of society in perpetuity ought to be at least as well protected as something which is trivial or entertaining to a society.

I believe that copyrights should be protected, but not for any longer than should a patent be protected. Copyrights and Patents should have at the least, equal protection.
