The Stupidest ONT Ever

Sunday night, you get the bench warmer. And by "bench warmer" I mean dumb.

Here. Have some Tranya or Captain Romulan whatever and calm the eff down.

Let's talk about Dr. Strangelove, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.

You get crappy music to put you in the mood, an homage from the Offspring to Slim Pickens riding the bomb into destiny. Enjoy. It's topical, cause the last lyric is "let the motherfucker burn."

So, on to Dr. Strangelove. A film by Stanley Kubrick in 1964, loosely based in part from "Failsafe", but also largely from the book Red Alert by Peter George. Kubrick decided to take a serious topic, thermonuclear annihilation, and make a comedy. Bit of a risk there, but it pays.

It's hard to imagine (for most of you I'm sure, hell I was 5 when it came out), but the world in 1964 was a nervous mess. We were adjusting to the fact that the Soviets now had the bomb, and were preparing to use it, like we were. How you turn that into a comedy is a tricky thing, but it helps to make your characters "caricatures", and Kubrick abused that thoroughly, with General Jack D. Ripper, President Merkin Muffley, General Buck Turgidson, and Major T.J. "King" Kong, played by Slim Pickens.

Story goes the part of Major Kong was to be played by Peter Sellers, who played President Muffley, Group Captain Lionel Mandrake, and of course Dr. Strangelove himself (a rescued Nazi), but Sellers broke his leg during shooting.. they offered the part to Dan Blocker, but his agent said he wouldn't want to be a part of any pinko commie movie, so Slim Pickens got the call.

Could not have worked out better. Thank goodness.

Some scenes:

Plot line: American Air Force General goes nuts, activates a wing of B-52 bombers armed with nukes to start a pre-emptive war with the Russkies.. silliness ensues. I am no movie reviewer, but I believe this is what they call a "dark comedy".

Incidentally, Kubrick had this thing, with lighting and villains.. see if you can spot the technique.

I might be kidding about the D.

Anyhow, watch it sometime. It's a look into our past, in a funny way.

Or not funny. Our past nonetheless.

This post brought to President Rutherford B. Hayes, who never ate a dog. Took rounds during the Civil War, including one that broke his left arm.

The Long Goodbye (1973) is dedicated to him. Robert Altman, who had directed many early episodes of "Bonanza" (1959), and had become friends with him, had originally cast him in the role of Roger Wade. However, Blocker died before filming commenced, so the role was subsequently filled by Sterling Hayden. [...]

Blocker was approached to play Major "King" Kong in Stanley Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) after Peter Sellers was injured. However, according to Terry Southern (co-writer), Blocker's agent rejected the script as being "too pinko".[...]

He was an activist liberal Democrat and a staunch opponent of the Vietnam War.[...]

112 I remember Hubert Humphrey running a five minute campaign commercial against Richard Nixon in the fall of 1968 after the showing of "Fail Safe" on network TV. Don't think that dirty politics was born yesterday.

And of course, the infamous "Daisy" commercial that Lyndon Douche Johnson ran in 1964 against Barry Goldwater.

And Sterling Hayden, despite any WWII decoration, was a commie symp. I hope he is roasting in Hell. He played big "right wing nuts" in a couple of movies and loved every minute of it.
George Scott played Buck Turgidson, and I don't know what his story was, except he probably needed the money. And James Earl Jones played the navigator on the B-52 (minor part).
Stanley Kubrick went around and met a lot of academics prior to making Dr. Strangelove, and he thought most of them were dull and stupid, except forone guy. In the course of the meetings and cocktail parties, met Henry Kissinger. Dr. Strangelove is actually based on Kissinger. Loosely.
"Dr. Strangelove" is a funny movie on one level, but I actually knew officers in SAC and they were not particularly funny or weird or evil guys. Just very smart and dedicated patriots, who had a very hard job that they tried their best to do. But it's always the way of Hollywood to mock anything that they can and pull it down into the mud.

100 gallons is only 23100 cubic inches -- roughly 13 cubic feet, or just over 2'x3'x4'. If that's the size, you could do it yourself some night after midnight and ditch it over the rail of a convenient bridge near you.

IIRC, some place require that the top be (partially) opened to provide easier inspection access. I tink OilDri followed by concrete would do the trick if you want to safely leave it in place. Backhoe is best as you see what actually happened, but then you have to dispose of a rusted tank (non-trivial).

That's what I would do, too. Especially if it's been leaking for years, you could get into a whole mandated soil remediation nightmare that would go on for years and cost you every cent you ever had, plus encumber the property so you couldn't sell it. At least, that's how it works in California. If I were you, I would never mention this to anyone again.

Fuel oil vapors aren't terribly touchy, but it's best to inert the tank before messing with it. Some companies use crushed dry ice. A liberal application of CO2 from a welding tank should also do the trick. Dry ice is used because as it sublimates into a gas it drives the volatile organic compounds (VOC) from the tank (CO2 being heavier than the VOC). But if you have an open vent aside from the opening you use to introduce the CO2 from a welding tank, that should work. But you'll have to introduce the CO2 slowly enough for the VOC to escape from the vent.

Oh, I just cringe.

Let me put it this way:

In my job, I'm ready to write a substantial grant check for a very worthy and much needed project.

The project cannot go ahead because some idiotic bureaucrat has decreed that every single room must have a smoke detector. Because there's a regulation.

Now, there are plentiful smoke and CO2 and what-have-you detectors in every possible spot, and it's not necessary that there be a smoke detector in every single room, and the project for which I am ready to write a check is extraordinarily important and urgent: Oh, no! First, the (completely unnecessary) smoke detectors must be installed in every single room!

The consequences will be ridiculous, but the bureaucracy does not care.

I abominate bureaucracy.

181 "Dr. Strangelove" is pretty funny in it's own way, becaue the way Slim Pickens played the pilot, I know that nobody like that would have ever cut it as a SAC B-52 pilot. Likewise, I knew the base commander at a large US Air Force base years ago, and he could be the friendliest guy you could imagine, unlike the parody of Jack Ripper.

"Fail Safe" was much scarier to me, because the guy that played the pilot of the Vindicator bomber that reached Moscow was not unlike some guys in SAC. Smart, determined, professional.

I hope so, but they are going to be so screwed by the salary cap penalty that they got last spring. The salary cap penalty for going over the salary cap in 2010, the season that was "uncapped", but that there was a gentlemen's agreement on. The same cap that the NFL is saying did not exist when the NFLPA sued them for having a cap in 2010. Only Dallas and Washington were punished for going over the cap, and the other teams that did not have cap money removed.
Of course, only Washington and Dallas play in the same division as the head of the committee that came up with the punishment, John Mara of the Giants. I really hate the Giants, and hope that Victor Cruz gets syphilis.

140 Peaches is right. If it has been leaking for years, you probably have to remove the tank and all the contaminated soil around it, but a firm liscensed to remove hazardous waste. Super expensive and makes the house hard to sell later.

Posted by: thunderb at January 20, 2013 10:34 PM (Dnbau)

If you want to go the full legal route this is correct. You'll have to hire an approved, licensed firm who will uncover the tank, inert it and remove it. After that they will take soil samples from around the tank and below it and send them to a lab for analysis. Depending on the lab results they may have to excavate a considerable amount of soil from beneath the tank. That soil will have to be placed in 55 gallon overpack drums and trucked to a HAZMAT landfill.

If the lab results aren't too bad there's a ton of other mitigation techniques that can be used, some as simple as placing perforated pipe into the contaminated soil, across the bottom of the hole and that extend above ground. They get capped with those turban shaped turbines you see on roof vents. The idea is to introduce air into the soil to 1) evaporate as much VOC as possible and 2) introduce oxygen into the soil to support the microbes that will eat up the heavier VOC that won't evaporate. A more expensive solution is a forced air system with activated carbon filters.

Anyways, the remediation method isn't up to you. The state will work with the environmental engineers to find a method they will approve. Digging out all of the contaminated soil is generally the cheapest and easiest way to go but it's not always feasible. No matter what, you may have to get monitoring wells installed for periodic checks. Your worst nightmare is if the oil has reached the water table and formed a plume, in which case many boreholes may have to be dug around the area to determine the extent of the contamination. During the remediation period they will also have to be periodically checked.

Your best outcome will be if the leak was small, the water table is deep and/or there's a limiting layer (hardpan) between the bottom of the tank and the water table. Otherwise you may be in for a world of hurt.

Good luck.

254"Speaking of Michelle Obami wigs, wigs were big in the 60's and 70's."

Exactly. People among the nobility and high class shorn the hair and donned whigs in order to avoid head lice. That is where the term "big wig" came from. If you had lot's of money you could affford to have your wig cleaned regulary and it would be all poofy.
Oh, wait. You were talking 1760's right? Nothing new under the sun.

clean it out real good and store you firearms that sank in a 'boating acident' in there.

322 Incidentally, Kubrick had this thing, with lighting and villains.. see if you can spot the technique. He also had a stylized way of using facial expressions to indicate crazy people. In addition to Nicholson and Private Pyle, there were some similar scenes with Alex in A Clockwork Orange.

Posted by: rickl at January 20, 2013 10:27 PM

Not just crazy people. Kubrick used exaggerated facial expressions often with characters in all of his films IIRC. It was done well, though and avoided a stagey feel. In Dr. Strangelove, it's most apparent with Turgidson and Strangelove. It was a recurring thing in all his films in tandem with his use of masks, or, mask like faces. Kind of like how he was big on symmetry in a lot of shots.

371 Peaches, Miss Tammy had pneumonia? I had bacterial pneumonia three years ago and I was sick for a month and would go to work and get better and sick again. There were few days I don't remember how I got to work. One day I hit my car in the parking garage, knew it and completely forgot about it. A few days later my brother called me to ask if someone had hit my car. That's when I remembered that I did it. Another day I called work and said I was working from home and told my brother that too.
It was as if I was drunk, I do not remember a thing that day. He lives downstairs and found me on a chair and got me to the couch. The next day he called 911. I don't remember three days in the hospital, except I was so weak they would not let me out of bed to go to the bathroom. It took about two months to get back my usual energy back.

A hairdresseronce toldme that the products used to straighten their hair would make a white person's hair fall out in no time. Black hair is "tougher" - but still, years and years of applying very harsh chemicals to their scalps does a lot of damage eventually. Although my hairdresser was black herself, she preferred white clients because, according to her, black hair is much more difficult to work with.

Haha... yeah. Mostly. Captain Quinn is a definite exception, being relatively animated. Also, Feeney, to a lesser extent. I think Kubrick was going for the repressed emotion thing, for the period. Some of the characters are portrayed with very heavy makeup, that conveys a mask like appearence, to add to the facade. I think Barry Lyndon might be his best work, actually.

445 The English Patient was the most boring movie I have watched. I think it won awards but don't care enough to go on IMDB"s website to check. I watched it only because someone rear ended me a day before and I should have gone to the hospital but I was pissed. The next day I felt all the pain and called my doctor but he was out of town. I stayed on my couch w/o moving for a few days and saw it. It was so dull I can't remember anything about it except it was too long.

I'm pretty much torn between it and "Full Metal Jacket". That kicked serious ass on the big screen. 2001 had a big effect and is outstanding, but it just hasn't aged as well as some of his others.

My best friend is a farmer who used to have an above ground diesel tank. When the new EPA regs came out stating it had to have a concrete enclosure for spill containment, he had the required upgrade priced. It was going to cost $15k. However, the reg stipulates that "mobile" tanks are exempt from the containment requirement. So he went to an equipment auction and bought a ragged-out flatbed trailer for $200, drug it to his land, and hoisted his tank onto it with a crane. Wah-lah, "mobile fuel tank".

There will be so few houses to look at that aren't attached to a realtor paying the 3.5% (half the 7% they split) to have a professional fighting for you is probably worth it.

Foreclosures are going to be mostly the same thing once you see them on the market. ( a realtor that gets 3.5% is already part of the deal)

The only time I see not using a Realtor is if you stumble on a property where no Realtor will be used.

Also many (Realtors) if you do all the legwork will knock a 1% or more off their cut if you make that deal with them up front.

A few rules for real estate --
1) it is a business deal -- treat it like one. You can love your home all you want, but don't let your emotions ruin your business deal.

2) location, location, location. it is better to have the worst house in a great neighborhood than to have a great house in a bad neighborhood.

3) real estate agents get paid by percentage. the more you pay, the more they make -- whether they are your agent or the other guys.
4) your inspector/engineer is your best friend. hidden defects can kill you financially. if you are not good with contracts, budget for an attorney -- most people spend more on their house than anything else in their life. being careful is worth it. be willing to pay the people that can save your ass.
5) most times, you make all your money going in -- that is, on your purchase price.
6) watch out for weird costs -- street assessments, water districts, etc. sometimes there are costs out there you don't know about that can be lots of bux.

7) be willing to walk from a deal -- even if you have a lot of time and money tied up in getting close to the end. if it doesn't feel right, don't do it -- and don't let anyone pressure you into doing it.
make sure your earnest money / due diligence period is in your favor. take your time and do a thorough pre-purchase investigation. write your offer so you can get your earnest money back.

Foreclosures without the involvement of a major bank or Federal agency (VERY RARE) would be fine. Any others should be looked at with caution.

The short story is that there was a raft of "issue 1000 mortgages, transfer them to a trust, sell shares in the trust to investors" things where they were supposed to be foolproof and safe because major banks handled all the paperwork and, further, handled the next 30 years of mortgage payments for each of the properties.
It has now been proved beyond the least shred of doubt that many of the mortgages were not transferred properly to the trusts (in fact, some properties were listed as transferred to more than one). Further, much of the paperwork was bungled (see "robosigning" http://tinyurl.com/atrxzn along the way.....oh, and this stuff was swapped among banks like it was poker chips -- sometimes 6-10 times [local law generally says that any transfers of mortgages must be recorded by the County Clerk and a tax stamp fee paid in order to be valid -- the banks just invented an alternative registrar out of thin air and used it for about 10 years].

And this sort-of worked for a while, until the mortgages started defaulting. At that point, the last holder of the thing discovered that it was a bogus poker chip and went to the false registrar to make good....and they gimmicked up some documents from the banks....and took 'em to willing local judges....who went along with the foreclosure, being that the guy hadn't paid.

So you may be paying for an entity's interest in a property, when that entity (a) never owned the property, (b) never had the obligation on the property properly assigned to it, (c) never had a valid executory interest as representative of the holder of the obligation, and never had the obligation transferred a number of times (according to the County Clerk).

If it was "Joe Smith foreclosed on Fred Jones" and it's a bargain, go ahead. If it's "Wells Fargo as representative for REIT Trust 2005-47 foreclosed on Fred Jones", you've been warned.

The thing is just because a movie's beautifully shot (and Barry Lyndon was) doesn't mean it's a good movie. Cf., Road to Perdition. Beautifully shot. Somewhat predictable. Boring as hell.

It's a factor. You need a lot more, though, to make a movie work. Most of BL's acting was perfectly fine. The writing wasn't really bad. The plot just wasn't there for an interesting movie, at least one that was that long.

510 I was off reading the Kubrick Wiki page that someone linked earlier. He was definitely a film genius.

Paths of Glory had some of the best WWI combat footage ever. Dr. Strangelove also had some realistic combat footage, when the Army was trying to capture General Ripper's SAC base.

He let Peter Sellers improvise dialogue in both Lolita and Dr. Strangelove, which were among his most memorable performances.

2001 was ground-breaking. It was far and away the best science fiction movie made up to that time. It set new standards in special effects and depicting spacecraft realistically.

While author Anthony Burgess hated Kubrick's adaptation of A Clockwork Orange, let's face it; it accurately predicted Britain's future.

I've never seen Barry Lyndon, but from what I've read, Kubrick was trying to capture the look, feel, and pace of 18th century life. It sounds interesting. I'd like to see it.

And of course, the first half of Full Metal Jacket featured R. Lee Ermey at his best.

Heh, I finally saw The Poseidon Adventure over the holidays, as AMC was showing it apparently nonstop. Kinda fun movie.

Interesting how the gang included a saucy MILF, a babelicious twenty-something, and a bit of probably-jailbait.

Something for everyone!

I loved The Poseidon Adventure when I was a kid. A model of the Queen Mary was used to portray the Poseidon.

Fun Fact: The Queen Mary almost did capsize in 1942:

In December 1942, Queen Mary was carrying 16,082 American troops from New York to Great Britain, a standing record for the most passengers ever transported on one vessel.[20] While 700 miles (1,100 km) from Scotland during a gale, she was suddenly hit broadside by a rogue wave that may have reached a height of 28 metres (92 ft). An account of this crossing can be found in Walter Ford Carter's book, No Greater Sacrifice, No Greater Love. Carter's father, Dr. Norval Carter, part of the 110th Station Hospital on board at the time, wrote that at one point Queen Mary "damned near capsized... One moment the top deck was at its usual height and then, swoom! Down, over, and forward she would pitch." It was calculated later that the ship tilted 52 degrees, and would have capsized had she rolled another 3 degrees.[21] The incident inspired Paul Gallico to write his story, The Poseidon Adventure, which was later made into a film by the same name, in which Queen Mary depicted SS Poseidon.

I know the answers mayinvole a few 'depends', but looking to buy a house
this year and have two quick questions for the semi-sober horde:

1. Should I use a realtor or just head out with the classified and Internet?

2. Should I start with, or focus on, forclosures? Seems like there are some deals to be had.

Posted by: Icedog at January 21, 2013 12:14 AM (9ScGj)

As a Realtor, I will say go ahead and use one. Residential real estate is a nightmare because of all the regulations that the government has slapped onto the real estate industry. The Realtor can guide you through all of the process, and make sure that you have all the documents that are needed for your protection.
As for the commission, we don't give a shit about a bigger commission check, we just want the commission check. So most Realtors will work hard to make sure that the sale gets done.
Also, make sure that when you talk to a Realtor that you want him to be the "Buyer's Agent", that way he/she represents you. If you don't get this up front, the agent will be by law the "Seller's Agent".

A Virginia lawmaker who drew gasps from his colleagues when he brandished a borrowed AK-47 during an anti-gun speech Thursday was found guilty in 2002 of committing a vicious 1999 assault, was sanctioned for legal misconduct while prosecuting a rape case, spent six months in jail for contempt of a federal court, and saw his law license revoked in 2003. [...]
According to legal brief filed by the victim's attorneys, Morrissey shouted, "I'm going to kill you. I'm going to beat your head in," before beating the victim and "smash[ing] his head into the corner of a brick wall."

Morrissey was charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding, a felony in Virginia. He was ultimately convicted of a lesser charge of assault & battery, a misdemeanor. A misdemeanor does not usually limit a convict's legal right to possess a weapon. However, a history of violence should.

573 Dr. Strangelove is one of the best movies of all time. Maybe you had to live through those times to see the humor in it (although I was only 12 or 13 at the time, it was some pretty scary times in some ways.. in other ways it was just the gay ole 60's!). Or, maybe you simply require a sense of humor to appreciate Peter Sellers.

The mineshaft gap bit was perfect parody of the missile gap and warhead gap and space race gaps the country endured..

Classic..

Morrissey was charged with Aggravated Malicious

charge of assault battery, a misdemeanor. A misdemeanor does not
usually limit a convict's legal right to possess a weapon. However, a

I remember Morrissey from back in 89 when he became Commonwealth's Attorney in Richmond (it is the same as the DA). Back then he was dealing in "gray market" cars and was thought to be a fucking slimeball, but it was Richmond and he was a Dem, so he got elected.

627 Buzzsaw, I'd have to trace out the circuitry to see of the bare wire had anything to do with it. I doubt it though. It would be more likely to short the breaker by touching the fixture or setting you up for a shocking experience. In any event I assume you have corrected that problem. If my math is right each T8 drawn about .15 amps which isn't much by itself but how much else is on the circuit is unknown. Is the fixture you replaced the in kitchen more efficient than the old one? That might put a little less draw on the circuit allowing the mudroom lights to light properly. You may have had a poorly connected bundle at a wire nut which you corrected without knowing. In any event I would just live with the mystery and be happy.

2001 was ground-breaking. It was far and away the best science
fiction movie made up to that time. It set new standards in special
effects and depicting spacecraft realistically.

***********************

"Best" in terms of special effects, I'll give you that. When it came out I spent much of the movie trying to figure out how they did all those shots that had never been seen before in film. You know, looking for wires, subtle evidence of miniatures, bad kinematics (such as we saw in Ghostbusters, with those gargoyles-come-alive), etc.

There had been literally nothing like it. Nothing.

That may have been since I took all the bundles apart and put new wire nuts on. But when I opened up the light's center channel (that V piece of metal in a long fluorescent fixture) there was an extra black wire that was bare in it. I turned of the switch and tested and it was the only live wire. Capped it hooked up the new fixture but am confused why it fixed the next room. Bleeding off enough that the ballasts weren't getting what they need? odd in as much as if it were a real short it would just blow a fuse but 3 sets of 2 T8s work now that didn't used to.

Florescents usually pull ridiculously low current. I agree not likely a live wire touching the case. There's usually a step up transformer, and the old ones have starters that use to go out a lot too (little cylandar about 1 in dia and 2 in long that twists into the fixture). Most new fixtures don't. When I have had problems with blinking tubes, its usually been improper seating of the bulbs, in a couple of cases bad transformers. Or a tube thats starting to fail. If its the tube you should see it start blinking again soon.

687 When I have had problems with blinking tubes, its usually been improper
seating of the bulbs, in a couple of cases bad transformers. Or a tube
thats starting to fail. If its the tube you should see it start blinking
again soon.>>

I think your crappy connection is the leading contender.

It all stared with the kitchen light being blinky. Put 4 new bulbs in and it helped sort of (but you still had to play with the switch to get it to light fully) Bought a new fixture figuring it was a bad ballast. But now that 3 others that had similar issues suddenly work fine I'm confused.

Of course, my favorite story regarding automated translation comes from the Cold War, when a top-secret research project created a translator that would run on an IBM/360.

They went to show it to a top general, and he said, "put in 'The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak'." -- and got back a scrawl of Cyrillic. Then he said, "put it in backwards"....and got back a strip of printout that said, "the vodka's not so bad, but the meat has turned."

713 "who never ate a dog" that he ADMITTED to.

My old man was posted in the Far East during dubya dubya deuce, and as he re-upped he kept getting sent back. He told me of places over there where dog was a DELICACY; that is, people wanted to SEE the dog, MEET the dog before, just to make sure it was quality dog meet they were about to eat.

So President Hayes, before he was president, was in the Civil War ... where I can flat out guarantee you there were continual shortages of foodstuffs and eating things, like chickens, beef, porkers, as the armies moved like locust infestations and army ant explorations. And you tell me Hayes never ett dawg. I'm here to tell you Hayes himself wouldn't believe, no sirree he wouldn't: cuz he knew better.

Thisone never gets old:
Col Rutherford Hayes and Supply Sgt William McKinley were in the same 23rd Ohio regiment in the Civil War.
They were bffs during/after the war. Hayes was wounded at the battle of South Mountain a few days before Antietam. McKinley waspart of theBurnsides Bridge attack and spent the day shuttling ammo and supplies.
Two Buckeye badasses.
23rd only regiment in US history with future Potus x2.

727 I recall seeing an interview with Kenneth Branagh asking why he'd put so many American actors in his latest Shakespeare adaption. He said he had a long consultation with a linguistics professor about what people actually sounded like in the era the play was written. He was told that a lot of thing Brits associate with American speech patterns were common then and the typical Elizabethan peasant wouldn't sound too strange in much of the US. This intrigued him and he set out to add a special authenticity to his movie on this basis.

Posted by: epobirs at January 21, 2013 04:06 AM (kcfmt)

728 A lot of people (rightfully) look at going up against the US Army as a problem. They say: whatever unconstitutional, illegal decrees are made by the Feds, I ain't the one to go up against the victors from Fallujah, the blooded from Nasiriyah, those who have been to Wanat, Mairwand, or Tora Bora.

But think about owning a setup like this -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JAdnZ6xsWtU; or something like http://tinyurl.com/axph6eb -- each of these would easily fit in someone's garage.

Y'know, the 1911 was created with the idea that it could be widely manufactured using the technology available then....102 years ago. Somehow, I suspect that materials knowledge and availability, as well as machine-tool capability, might have advanced in that time.

If it comes to confiscation or supply limitations, the solution is the same either way -- open wide the invention of Americans, and find ways of supplying the open-market demands out there. If you can't shell your ammo in brass, devise another alloy and mill it! If you can't get factory powder, cook your own. If lowers are regulated, CNC 'em. If gunbarrels get scarce, buy a lathe and make enough for yourself and to sell. The only reason unemployment is so high today is because everyone is looking for a government-approved job producing government-approved stuff at government-approved wages. If you just look at what people want, there's always more to do. Figure a way to get ammo across the border inwards and do it -- or make more here.
