Much Like David Gregory, Jimmy Saville Was Given Free Pass by Law Enforcement and Media Colleagues, Due to Status as TV Personality

A report states that Saville victimized at least 214 children, and either raped or stat-raped 34 (26 girls, 8 boys).

A sign of how extensive his criminal career as a pedophile is the fact that it helps to plot his crimes on a map, and that it's easier to talk about his victims in percentage-statistics in aggregate.

. It gave a breakdown showing that the preponderance of the victims, 73 percent, were younger than 18, with the largest group 13 to 16 years old. Over all, the report said, 82 percent of the victims were female.

Though it also details specific crimes, of course:

“1960. A 10-year-old boy saw Savile outside a hotel and asked for his autograph. They went into the hotel reception where he was seriously sexually assaulted.” “1965. A 14-year-old girl met Savile in a nightclub. She later visited his home and was raped.” “1974. Savile took a 14-year-old schoolgirl for a drive in his car and seriously sexually assaulted her.”

The report, of course, shields law enforcement and prosecutors from blame, casting it about everyone else, including frequent-scapegoat "society:"

But the report suggested that prosecutors were not alone in their inaction. “Why did it happen and why was it not noticed and stopped by police, health, education or social services professionals, people at the BBC or other media, parents or carers, politicians, or even ‘society in general?’ ” the report asked, before offering its own answer.

“For a variety of reasons, the vast majority of his victims did not feel they could speak out, and it’s apparent that some of the small number who did had their accounts dismissed by those in authority, including parents and carers,” it said.

The vast majority of his victims did not speak up. But a minority did, and were ignored.

For its part, the BBC has announced both an apology and its own blue-ribbon whitewash:

In a statement, the BBC said: "The police report into Jimmy Savile contains shocking revelations.

"As we have made clear, the BBC is appalled that some of the offences were committed on its premises.

"We would like to restate our sincere apology to the victims of these crimes. The BBC will continue to work with the police to help them investigate these matters.

"We have also set up the Dame Janet Smith Review to help us understand how these crimes could have been committed and how we can avoid them happening ever again."

The Dame Janet Smith Review is supposed to examine the "practices and culture" at the BBC during its star's rape-spree; forgive me for imagining it will come out as CBS' bought-and-paid-for "report" did in the RatherGate affair. Corporations do not fund reports to find out their crimes; they fund reports to cover up their crimes. They pay for a tony-looking PR document that could be mistaken for an objective report.

It's bad that the New Government/Media Aristocracy" has so much power. It's worse that they're permitted to investigate themselves.

And when I say, passive voice, "they're permitted to investigate themselves," I mean it's we, not in the Aristocracy, who permit this.

It's about time we stopped permitting ourselves to be plebianized and started demanding real investigations of all these people. And not "investigations" conducted by members of The Cartel and their former fornication partners.

The 'plebianization' you're writing about is a symptom. As the State becomes increasingly influential and pervasive (and intrusive), the divisions and differences between those connected to the ruling political class and those not become even more pronounced. There is no equality or rule of law in a genuinely facist state. There are only those who hold the guns and those who dig the holes. The British are more accustomed to these distinctions than we are; after all, their whole class/caste system began as a reward system from the Crown. But in America? Such inequality is at complete odds with our Constitution, an irreconcilable conflict with its meaning and intent, hence the recent (and very obviously orchestrated) Democratic meme wave regarding its supposed antiquated irrelevance.

60 Some day the truth will come out about American media and politicians as well

American media doesn't have the same force in America as BBC has in the UK.

Hollywood is another story.

Allow me to mention some facts - not accusations, facts. Investigators can follow up on these facts. Or not. I am legally allowed to mention facts in public. I will restrict myself to facts.

Joel Schumacher directed Corey Feldman in "The Lost Boys". Rob Reiner directed him in "Stand By Me". Richard Donner, "Goonies". Joe Dante, "Gremlins".

Executive Producers of both Goonies and Gremlins: Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, Steven Spielberg.

Feldman says that he was raped during this period. Question. Did any of these guys (and one gal) suspect anything?

Posted by: boulder hobo at January 14, 2013 07:30 PM (QTHTd)

61 You've got to give it to the left. One of the most powerful societal tools is the concept of shame. And the left has succeeded in removing shame from the public pantheon. Every destructive behavior that society once condemned - illegitimacy, sloth, laziness, criminality, is now tolwerated if not celebrated. These condemnations helped keep society healthy. And thereis no doubt a correlation between acts that were once shamed and are nowaccepted and the corresponding rise in the number of laws needed to curtail bad behaviors.

But then I realize that the left's success iseven more insidious. Because while they have removed all vestiges of shame for any of their actions they've certainly kept the concept alive for those who disagree with them, namely conservatives. And they use shame as a cudgel against the right. Like with the Newtown murders. Trying to shame the right into abandoning it's 2nd Amendment rights. Putting us on the defensive so as not to be seen as monsters.

What makes shame effective is having a conscience. We on the right have one and thus the left uses it against us. They on the other hand have no conscience - which is why nothing we say ever sticks to them.

They really are vermin.

69 OK, let's be honest, is the Left really against pedophilia?

Think about it. When we think about a pedophiliac, we think that they should simply not act on it. That's it. If you truly have such urges, find another outlet. Get psychological help to...cure you.

But the Left has rejected that view on sexuality. It simply cannot be restrained. One is "born that way" (except for transsexuals, I guess) and so what to do with them?

What to do...?

No, I don't think so. Seville actually had his own rooms to meet with children.

Here's the thing about socialized medicine: Hospitals don't fear getting sued for things like this. Maybe -- maybe -- the administrators will get fired. But the nurses, doctors, clerical staff, they don't care. They aren't going to get fired. They aren't worried that the hospital will be sued out of existence and there will be mass layoffs.

But if bigshot well-connected celebrity puts up a stink, well the nurse who doesn't give him access to the rape room is going to hear about it.

78 In his article about Savile, Mark Steyn noted something even more evil and depraved than molesting kids at nightclubs, the BBC offices, etc. Like many such pervs, Savile posed as a great friend and champion of children and people thought he was a terrific guy for spending so much time at hospitals with sick kids. He even had his own room in one hospital and stayed overnight there.

He molested sick children in their hospital beds.

As Steyn noted you would have thought bells would have gone off in someone's head when Savile got his own friggin' bedroom in a hospital. Who, besides medical staff on call and the parents of sick children, stays overnight in a pediatrics unit?

Once again, Britain's NHS displayed its' great concern for the patients under its' care. Remember those kids dancing on their hospital beds during the Olympic opening ceremony? A more accurate depiction would have shown an ugly old perv crawling into bed with them.

87 If a spate of recent allegations proves true, Hollywood may have a hideous epidemic on its hands. The past two weeks have brought three separate reports of alleged child sexual abuse in the entertainment industry.

Martin Weiss, a 47-year-old Hollywood manager who represented child actors, was charged in Los Angeles on Dec. 1 with sexually abusing a former client. His accuser, who was under 12 years old during the time of the alleged abuse, reported to authorities that Weiss told him "what they were doing was common practice in the entertainment industry." Weiss has pleaded not guilty.

On Nov. 21, Fernando Rivas, 59, an award-winning composer for “Sesame Street,” was arraigned on charges of coercing a child “to engage in sexually explicit conduct” in South Carolina. The Juilliard-trained composer was also charged with production and distribution of child pornography.

Registered sex offender Jason James Murphy, 35, worked as a casting agent in Hollywood for years before his past kidnapping and sexual abuse of a boy was revealed by the Los Angeles Times on Nov. 17. Murphy’s credits include placing young actors in kid-friendly fare like "Bad News Bears," "The School of Rock," "Cheaper by the Dozen 2” and the forthcoming "Three Stooges.”

Revelations of this sort come as no surprise to former child star Corey Feldman.

Feldman, 40, himself a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, unflinchingly warned of the world of pedophiles who are drawn to the entertainment industry last August. "I can tell you that the No. 1 problem in Hollywood was and is and always will be pedophilia,” Feldman told ABC’s Nightline. “That's the biggest problem for children in this industry... It's the big secret.”

88 Martin Weiss is the Hollywood talent manager whose company repped child actors that had landed roles on such series as Nickelodeon’s iCarly and Disney’s Good Luck Charlie as well as on network shows and movies. Today in Van Nuys, CA he pleaded no contest during a pretrail hearing to two charges of oral copulation with a child under the age of 14. He was sentenced to a year in jail and five years probation; the sentence was suspended for time served, and he will be released today. Weiss must register as a sex offender and enter a treatment program. and he is not permitted to be in the presence of anyone under 18 without another adult present. Weiss was arrested last November after the victim and former client told police in an affidavit he was sexually assaulted by Weiss 30-40 times over a three-year period when the boy was 11 or 12 years old. Police searched his apartment at the time of Weiss’ arrest and set bail at triple the normal amount because they suspected there could be more victims. Weiss dissolved his company soon after.

91 Thanks to media we can witness those we'll never know who've done unspeakable crimes. Unfortunately media also has no way of covering Jesus ripping their faces and eyeballs apart in retaliation. Our loss.
