What a beatdown the FortyNiners put on GB last night! Kaerpernick might wind up in the SB this time. As for this game, I'ma pulling for the Fowlcoons. Julio Jones, babay. Nice arms attached to those Implements of Pointynessism. I'd hit it, with the proper safety equipment of course. Hey Teej, as long as we're here, I want to ask if you've ever done any home recording. I borrowed a nice 16-channel Mackie board from my guitar player the other day. This laptop has a nice high end sound board in it that has the capability of some truly astronomical bit depth rates. Only drawback is the 1/8" input. I have a set of DTXtreme III electronic drums, my basses and a cheap little keyboard (no MIDI out) and a vocal mic. I have no idea what to do, other than to see if I can get a decent sound out of all that stuff. Any thoughts or experience? The national anthem was sung by a group called The Tenors; they were previously known as the Canadian Tenors. (Now there's creativity for you!) They have an album debuting in the States this week so they're on a big PR push.

I'm rooting for Atlanta because I'm still mad at Seattle for being mean to the Redskins last week. If they were nice, they would have laid off RGIII. At the very least they could have sprained their QB's ankle to even the playing field. They have no empathy.

How bout Wyoming? Passing a law to jail federal gun grabbers.....interesting. Also the enclave mentioned on Drudge this morning that will build a walled community to separate themselve from the Leftards. They're selling land there now (or soon will). If that becomes popular, I expect Big Sis to pull a Reno, declare them some kind of cult, and come in with guns blazing at some point. Posted by: BackwardsBoy, who did not vote for this shit. at January 13, 2013 01:58 PM (yiIja) 61
OK, Seahawks, we're down by 13 - Time to start the game!! And, yes, Seattle has no points. But Atlanta should be up by 21. So there's that. Posted by: dwagyak at January 13, 2013 02:02 PM (FesH5) 62
Yeah, I don't know about that walled enclave idea. One of the great principles of war is that no structure can be successfullydefended forever. Reminds of when my Dad had a couple of great years in business and I asked him why he didn't have afancier car like some of his buddies. He said, "I don'twant to draw attention to myself." Or as they say in the Rome airport, "when you see a man with a machine gun, try to look unimportant." Posted by: Meremortal, time to slutdrop the GOPe at January 13, 2013 02:02 PM (1Y+hH) 63

I'm glad that Wyoming did that. I think that our governor here in OK, Mary Fallin, is gutsy enough to do the same thing...if it comes down to it. Rick Perry and Bobby Jindal would probably follow suit, as well. Posted by: wheatie at January 13, 2013 02:03 PM (fH4X9) 66
Either that or you go crazy and start bashing your head into the faders.... No kidding. I may be in for a rather steep learning curve, but at least I've got someone I can call if I run into a snag. BB, start with bass direct into the board, maybe just a Countryman Di in between. Then try a miked amp if you have a a way to do that. Then mix the two. I've gotten some very warm and earthy bass tones doing that. As for the other instruments, pffft. As long as the bass sounds like Gawd Almighty, the rest can take care of itself, heh. I'd have to agree with you on the armed enclave; its pretty stupid. Unless you're intention is to make the enemy pay dearly for the assault. That kind of tactic works well for people who want to die. The founders had the right idea though. A well armed militia is the best defense against a tyrannical gummint. States would do well to let citizens arm themselvesand handle violent criminals in the manner they should have been accustomed to long ago. I amwaiting to see if Texas invites some of the arms manufacturers to relocate. Hehehe... Posted by: crotchetyoldjarhead at January 13, 2013 02:16 PM (1W1S7) 78
Good idea, MM. I have a DI with a preamp. Can't set up the amp, I'm doing this in the bedroom of Casa Backwardio, so everything will need to be quiet. Also, no MIDI on anything, so that's another challenge.

BB, on other thing that the engeneers have right: You can always add bass later, but adding treble is almost impossible. Crank the presence or treble knobs on the bass and get a strong signal to the board w/o overdriving it. I just dime all three knobs on my Jazz basses. Sadly, the Texans are likely to stink up the joint vs the Patriots.

116 Looking Glass,
I am a texans "fan" kind of I supported H town getting another team and I support them and pray for the Titan's failure every season. I was a Houston oilers fan par excellance and bus Adams is a goddamned hypocrit given his histrionics at Al Davis in the 80s.... he and modell are both douche nozzles. Good for the three timeouts because Seattle's clock management isn't great at the moment.

Looks like a TV, with the fumble occuring in the End zone.
In that case, it's 27-27 with 20 seconds left in the 4th, and the extra point try to come. Play is under review. Posted by: Looking Glass at January 13, 2013 04:02 PM (g3wOT) 134
It wouldn't be a Seahawks game without a TD review right at the end.
If they end up winning this they'd better figure out how to play a whole game next week. Posted by: I lurk, therefore I am at January 13, 2013 04:02 PM (+tsoh) 135
