As Was Foreseeable By Anyone Who Isn't Stupid, Employers Across the Nation Begin Cutting Part-Timers Hours to Maximum 28 Hours Per Week to Avoid ObamaCare Mandates

Congratulations-- you now need to find a second job to make up hours, and that one will also not provide health benefits.

So you now have a serious scheduling problem on your hands.

26 Of course it is. And the lower working class gets hurt again. Awesome.

In any event, back to Booker, that is a FANTASTIC CLIP. Just fantastic.

Done and done nationally.

74% of Americans are against banning handguns. And so is the Supreme Court.

Fucking idiot. The NRA and perhaps just the facts have done a tremendous job in changing views. In the 70s, something like 65% were FOR BANNING handguns.

It's been a complete 180. Demorats stepped on a landmine here. Anyone with half a brain knows: 1) They are exploiting tragedy; 2) banning guns at best does nothing and at worst makes crime go up.

Then they research the 2nd amendment and there becomes the steps to becoming a conservative!!!

One more thing, Marco Rubio-Tom Cotton 2016!!!!!!!! will never interfere with your 2nd Amendment rights.

I hope you're being sarcastic but if not, let me introduce you to this little thing called Margins. It's the difference between what you sell and what it costs you to sell it. O-care causes this number (already crazy thin in the foodservice biz) to become even thinner, or more likely, disappear. So, good luck trying to buy that Big Mac from a golden arches that doesn't exist anymore. The numbers just won't work- of course Obama knew this, which is inpart why he did it.

OTOH, if the Dems try and force through minimum hours laws to punish those eeeevil business owners, then eveyone had better get ready for a $10 Whoppper because that's the only way to make it work - and it won't work even then because people will simply stop eating out - kind of like in Europe. Either way it screws the broader economy which is exactly what Obama and the leftists had in mind - which is again why they did it.

154 And one more thing. Very rich people can buy their own doctors so they are afraid of waiting on line with brown people. Every minute they stand waiting in the office they could be making more money so they don't like that. Rich folks think they should get the best beds in the hospital too, my aunt was a nurses aide she should know.

Affordable care should me affordable. Giving employees the shaft so they don't have healthcare or even enough money for food is wrong. Executive orders shouldn't be used for everything even though Ronald Reagan used them too, but when kids health is at stake like it is with assault weapons maybe Obama should give McDonalds a piece of his mind. Just one order making them pay a big fine if they cut hours should do the trick. Or maybe take away their drive-thru window privileges, those are dangerous also. Everyone should eat inside, the fumes are not good for you while idling.

---------------------------------------------------

Actually, it is healthcare. Health insurance is something one has for catastrophic medical events much like auto insurance. Health insurance, as it was before the government got into the medical business, didn't cover check-ups or what's called "preventive care" or even minor medical events.

Don't buy into the leftist definitions. Healthcare to marxists mean everything that you do in life affects your health, so therefore, eventually, they'll have to control everything. For those of us that have healthcare from our workplaces see this almost on a daily basis with healthy living tips, safety policies, and "bad-habit" elimination.

All foisted upon us by the dems idea of total healthcare.

It looks like ObamaCare is delivering.

I saw a managerial job req on Dice earlier this week, specifying 30 hours per week in the SF-San Jose area.

The usual reality in this area is that non-exempt employees (managers) get paid for 40 hours per week, but usually end up putting 50+, and frequently closer to 60+ hours per week.

So ObamaCare has made 30 the new 40. If hourly rates go up (33%) to account for the hours change, then it's not such a big deal ... unless you really need benefits, and plan on getting them through the company.

Now might be a very good time to get your own medical and dental plans, or at least make a few calls, and get detailed information on what you can get.

There's another reason to do this (via Drudge):

Bloomberg has, yet again, Saved Us From Ourselves
