AFC Wild Card #2

Baltimore and Indiana. Houston squeaked by Cincinnati yesterday. In the NFC, Green Bay stomped Minnesota, and we got Seattle and Washington later. Dallas sucked a while back. Not news, just felt like bitching about it again.

I'm a Bronc fan but I don't think their defense can solve Brady. So Manning is gonna have to put up 42 or 49 to win. A couple of games before then though.

Great player, and anyone interested in facts rather than slander has to admire the way he grew up and matured after the Atlanta murders, dumping his thug friends after he realized they would drag him down. His real mistake wasn't lying to the police ( you're a fool if you don't), it was not lying through a lawyer. All y'all yammering " murder " should remember that Ray testified against the guys accused of murder- and even with his testimony they couldn't get a conviction. I know, I know...why let facts get in the way of a good hate? Enjoy your Emmanuel Goldstein. Weak minds need one.

70 Actually, I don't know if Ray Lewis is a saint or if he curses at nuns, and I don't particularly care. I do admire him for getting away from the people from his youth that would have dragged him down, something all too many athletes are unable to do (anyone remember Bam Morris?), but beyond that? He plays football, and does it exceedingly well. That's his job, and that's what I care about*. Anyone looking to athletes for role models is a fool. It's nice when they are good ones, but it's hardly a requirement.

*It would be a different story if he'd actually murdered anyone, of course, but even according to the Atlanta police, his entire involvement in that fight consisted of basically yelling "OH FUCK! GET IN THE CAR! GO! GO! GO!" when it broke out. Anyone here who claims they would have done differently in that situation....I don't believe you.

So, hey, I got an update from Tammy. Says hi to all and thanks for all
the prayers and well-wishes. She's still not feeling too great, but
they've got her stabilized and, omg, Thor flew in yesterday morning
after her cousin ratted her out to him. So, as crappy as she feels,
she's pretty stoked about Thor being there. Prayers are still
appropriate, should you feel so inclined.

I missed it ....what happened to her?!

111 Mmm, sausage gravy.

I made "John Maddens Hot BBQ Beef Sandwiches" from the Sunday Night Football cookbook they were flogging a few years ago...tastes really good, but like sloppy joes instead of BBQ. I'd make it again, with hamburger instead of pot roast.

A far better meal than these games deserve.

I predict flop. Who wants to watch a movie about a group of smug douche bags?

But I could be wrong, the 3 Oceans Eleven movies did quite well.

Rather liked the first one; the banter between Pitt and Clooney was quite good. I doubt they were acting most of the time. They strike me as a couple of guys you could have beer and hot dogs with. They are probably a bunch of Libtards - I do not follow the Hollywood crowd - but if they kept their mouths shut about politics I could see us having a good time.

116 We need a Tammy thread dedicated to all things tammy.

I am enjoying the game. It's a classic white hat black hat showdown. Like when Shane was getting his ass kicked, we knew he would return. Indy will rise from the dust and do away with the thugs.

A good game in the playoffs is just a rare as a good game during the regular season. Last year we were fortunate to have some excellent games.

In other words, yes, it's rather boring. But, at least it means something.

Sad that has to be said, though.

120 That's ballgame. TD by Baltimore to take the lead 23-9, extra point try to come.

But it was probably over after Vinateri missed that field goal. Would have made it a five point game.

Instead Baltimore got the ball with good field position, and drove down the field to chew up time and score a TD.

121 Is it just me, or is this game rather boring?

Nope. I've been not looking forward to this game all week.

Hopefully we can someday get to the point where there's a commercial between every single play. That's what I'm hoping for.
Can not get enough of that CBS go-to-commercial theme music.

Brunettes have been known to work harder for the participation trophy.

127 79 Tough luck puddlegum.

I hate the Ravens with the white hot hatred of a thousand burning suns. As for the Patriots, if the MFM would stop sucking Brady's dick, maybe I would tolerate them. He's got a super model wife to do that. Plus there is the douchebag fanbase thatresides in the state ofMasshole.

Posted by: puddleglum at January 06, 2013 04:08 PM (Wg87G)

128 You know who would be celebrating the Ravens' victory? Richard Lollar. If Ray Lewis and his friends hadn't murdered him, that is.
