Nice- I went to a party this weekend and had to do the same thing. I found about 3 conservative dudes among 20 or so yuppies and we huddled and drank our sorrows away. Then we talked about the coming crash and how most of the people in the room would end up dying quickly if the shit actually doeshit the fan. I'm betting it'll go down like the Wall did- we wake up one morning and everything has skidden to a halt.

With a media that will get down and slob any democrat knob, and with the average citizen's attention span slightly less than that of a goldfish, it is easy to see why we're not even in the race anymore.

Warn them to be ready to get out. What is going to happen is not going to be mitigated by family attachments. When the deliveries to the high density areas stop, things will get ugly fast.
The only real difference in how things play out is the sequence of events and their spacing. If the EBT cards stop working while the shelves are still being stocked, that will be a different scenario than if everything stops at once. But it will look pretty much the same from a decade's distance.

I've been told 2 things by every democrat I know.
1) Bush's tax rates caused the economic downturn.
2) Clinton tax rates were caused the greatest economic boom in the world.
oh - and as a side note - the Bush tax rate cuts were for the rich only, but now affect everyone.

They're probably saying that...because that is exactly what the Dems do.
Several blue states lost seats recently, due to the decline in their populations.
Districts had to be redrawn as a result, and in blue states the redrawing was done by Dems.
Red states that gained seats...because of people flocking there to find jobs...had to redraw their district lines too.
This happened in Florida.
But the result was a loss for Allen West, whose district was redrawn to become a more Dem-leaning district.
So in that instance...the Florida GOP screwed itself, and Allen West.

I find it hard to believe the stated order of things:
1) Hillary has the stomach flu
2) Hillary gets so dehydrated from the stomach flu that she passes out (really? One of the most important women in the world is so sick that she's becoming dangerously dehydrated, and there's no one there to keep an eye on her and bring her some Gatorade? Bullshit).
3) Hillary falls down after passing out and gives herself a concussion.
4) Weeks after the concussion, she has a "routine" (on a Sunday?) medical examination that finds a blood clot.
Again, we'll never know what happened, but I don't believe what we've been told. Having said that, if she is genuinely ill, I wish her a swift and complete recovery.

But even if it was because of some health problems...the Clintons are so power hungry, they wouldn't let a little thing like a health problem stand in the way of clinging to power.
So I think her decision to leave was probably for political reasons.

I bought some 100W's incandescent the other day for infrequently used attic lights. I think WMT had'em.
They're a better long term value proposition, and have lower eco-impact for very infrequently used spaces than a CFL or LED...particularly if its a cold space where a CFL takes a while to warm up.
Down in the habitable spaces, I got some "daylight" spectrum CFL's that are VASTLY superior to the old yellow ones.

Mizuho is pretty nice and caring. Now her mother is a cougar always on the prowl to bag a guy. And Mizuho has a bratty younger sister.

No, they'll try to do what they've done in so many other places. A little more restriction here, a few more banned models there. Pass a law establishing max ammo capacity? Step 1. Then you push to pass the revision that cuts that capacity by 10%. Then another 10%.
This is why they have to be opposed now. When some idiot asks if he should be allowed to keep a howitzer in his back yard, I say yes. Most people simply aren't going to find it a useful thing to do. It takes up a lot of space just to store, never mind test fire occasionally. And the consumables aren't cheap.

Local police will probably side with the people in rural areas, and with the government in urban areas. The suburbs, as I said earlier, will be where it gets interesting. I wouldn't be surprised to see actual conflicts between police officers on the same force.
