Bourbon Milk Punch
This is a nice, simple breakfast drink that is a bit more festive than a Bloody Mary. Although...a little more bourbon seems to be in order to cut the richness of the milk (or cream). I haven't figured out where the bacon goes in this recipe, but I'm working on it.And here are a couple of recipes for egg nog; one traditional, and one decidedly not -- it has tequila instead of bourbon or brandy.

I buy Costco fake eggs, and they are great to mix in with real eggs for scrambled and such.

Raw eggs don't pose the same 'threat' to your cholesterol as cooked eggs.
It's the cooking of eggs that increases the cholesterol risk...something to do with oxidation, iirc.
The only way that I can eat raw eggs, though,is with some alcohol.
The alcohol provides a sort of substitute for cooking, without destroying the additional nutritional properties of a raw egg.
When I make eggnog from scratch....I mix the eggs and alcohol together, and chill for a couple of days in the fridge.
You can't even taste the raw egg if you do that.

Best eggnog ever. My wife's family recipe.
Six eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1pint heavy cream
1 pint milk.
Separate the eggs. Beat the whites until very stiff. Add 1/4 cup sugar, mix well.
Add 1/2 cup sugar to the yolks; beat well. Stir whites and yolks together with a wire whisk. Add milk and cream. Add bourbon or rum or both to taste. . Heart attackin a mug, butabsolutely incredible.

about 5 years back I kept data for a year and recorded on a spreadsheet. Temperature outside near my barn. Temp outside on a second thermometer, temp presented by the local news station and temp presented for my zip by weather channel.

My temp measurements averaged 5 degrees below what the "official" data provided. This was later backed up by the fact that scientists have shown we had been in a cooling trend from 1999 to about 2010.

I think the bacon should be as crispy as possible without being burned. That way it will impart a bit of the smoky rich flavor but not the greasy fat flavor.

With IE, that is true. Chrome doesn't botch the formatting at all here. IE tends to run half my stuff together when I post. Doesn't recognize spaces between words, or lines, most the time. With Chrome, it's a non-issue.

Oh freak on the cholesterol
It is all genetics and some drug therapy is needed in this case, as much as I hate takin the pills.
I am overweight, drink Waaaaaay too much, especially beer age 57 and have smoked for 44 years. Too much drink ? 12 pk a day, mostly Sam Adams. Bartenders at bars that I go to do not even ask, they just bring me bottles. Overweight? started the yr at 295 with a heightof 74 inches
I eat a dozen eggs a week minimum; some nights I will have 4 (I never eat breakfast)
I love bacon, organ meats, chicken thighs and legs etc.
My total cholesterol was 142 on my last blood test 2 weeks ago, TriGlycerides was 82, good cholesterol was 47.
Almost all the cholesterol in your blood is produced by your your own body and while diet can affect itI believeit is more of case of your blood-line. Blame granny and grandpa.
It is s almost all genetics. If your cholesterol is high and your triglycerides are high, then have your doctor prescribe Zocor.
The one thing I did this year was stop most of the food carbohydrates (bread, pasta) and I did not do that till March of this year. Did I mention that I lost 40 pounds this year? and I plan to drop another 40 next year. My only exercise is walking and biking, but it is too cold and too snowd in to do either at the moment.

I'm ashamed to say, I hadn't visited my late mother's best friend, one of the funniest, feistiest, sweetest women I've ever known for a few weeks. Looking through the paper this morning after church, I see her obit. I wept. Didn't know her family, so wasn't aware they'd put her in hospice. Also lost a dear, sweet friend from church two weeks ago after a brief illness.
I've been discombobulated for a while. Check in at the HQ sporadically. However, if it weren't for this place, since this election, I'd be drooling in a chair in a corner. I'll check out the book thread.

The only thing the Kiwis did not do for upgrade was install the J-52 used in the A-4Ms. So still stuck with just over 9,200lbs of thrust versus 11,000lbs of thrust.

I have to take it back about my cousins, they are in their 70s, some late 70's, I don't think they are Obamabots, they are just dumb. They still think the dem party is for the working man. One of that branch of cousins married a republican woman. I love talking to her and him, vs my female cousins.
I live in MA, they still think that the party of JFK is the same dem party it was 60 years ago. I can't explain it's not.
Thank God my nieces and nephew don't care about politics or I'm afraid they'd be in the FSA, like their parents are.
