I made Chili for a Family Reunion my wife's family had. Biggest batch I had ever done. 10 Gallons in a huge, stainless steel, Navy Surplus Kettle.
It didn't turn out. Tasted like shit. I was totally confused, so I took the whole affair out on the back porch and set it out until I could get it to the local dump. It sat for two days, mild weather at 5000 feet when I got curious and sniffed, it didn't smell too sour but had a day to go and figured it needed to come back to a boil so it could survive another day. After it came back to a simmer it smelled amazing and people began to eat it. A case of saltines and a day later there wasn't a drop left.

3 hours?!? Wtf did you do?? I think I'd have just bought a new microwave.

It...is...a new microwave.

I used a ceramic bowl with a glass pyrex lid.
It exploded and blew the lid off...shattering the lid.

So there was shattered glass in all the chili that was coating the entire inside of the microwave.

I think where I went wrong, was using the 'Auto' function...and set it to 'oatmeal'.
Which was obviously too hot.

My local market uses meat as a loss leader. Last week it was T-bones for $3.99/lb and this week is big fatty pork chops for $1.89/lb.

I'm set for the apocalypse. And if they belly up, the big mega mexican market is just a bit further down the street. I bet it sucks to live in the frozen north.
