In regards to the vote on Plan B, it was FUBAR from the start. Boehner started by negotiating with Obama. Maybe he should have started by negotiating with his own caucus, the Republicans in the house, then with the democrats, passed a bill, negotiated with the Senate and the bill they passed be signed or vetoed by Obama.
If vetoed, Boehner could negotiate to overide and send to the Senate to negotiate to overide. If there are no votes anywhere along the way there is no bill anyway. He was worried about the optics of getting a deal when he should be worried about following the process and letting the optics reveal the way government is supposed to work. All this fancy-schmancy deal making is what got us here in the first place. But no, he went for the back room grand bargain with TFG where the JEF could be as silly as he wants and let Reid and Pelosi cloud the water on the side line. But don't worry about Boehner. After not having the votes for Plan B, he went home and slept like a baby. Or he should have, since he was so non-chalant with the re-election of the Marxist who is bent upon destroying our country and our way of life. These people are too smart for our own good. "LaPierre is doing great. It's about time someone came out and stood up for the truth." Too bad the truth is a non factor Army of free shit. We have nothing to do with the Army of Free Shit (AFS). The AFS takes free shit that rightly belongs to the FSA. And the truth is a non-factor for us moreso, we prefer the lie. And Obama delivers! Didn't the NRA hit their year membership target in 72 hours or something like that?
Posted by: alexthechick - Told you we weren't worthy of SMOD at December 21, 2012 11:35 AM (VtjlW) did not hear that - or anything related. I think everyone out buying guns, mags, and ammo is well advised to toss a few dollars at the NRA so cocksuckers like cuomo do not have a chance to implement their forced sale and confiscation programs. Is the press and political class here in Washington so consumed by fear and hatred of the NRA and America's gun owners that you're willing to accept a world where real resistance to evil monsters is a lone, unarmed school principal left to surrender her life to shield the children in her care? No one — regardless of personal political prejudice — has the right to impose that sacrifice.

This is really good.
Those of us who think a separation of America is inevitable, may have seen the beginning of it just now. It's clear there is an America that believes in self-reliance and self-defense, and an America that believes in neither. I believe the liberals will now be the ones to start calling for the separation. They have seen that they are never going to get the guns away from us, nor will even the worst mass murder imaginable make us give them up voluntarily. The libs on my Facebook timeline are all going nuts over this speech. I haven't yet heard it, but the reaction makes me think LaPierre must be saying something right.
And many of those libs are all upset that LaPierre didn't take questions. Oh, like your preezy? Bless your heart. Posted by: Captain Whitebread, out of sympathy for statists at December 21, 2012 11:45 AM (cVfX0) 135
How is it I have not seen ONE mention of arming pilots, and the hubbub that surrounded that, as an example of what we can do RIGHT?
After 9/11, we had the huge debate on arming pilots. Today, no one has mentioned that on either side of argument. And its a pertinent example of how this works... Has anyone taken an armed cockpit lately? Also, no one has mentioned that many many schools in CA and NY and IL all have armed guards and METAL DETECTORS to even get into the school- and that is just to prevent GANG violence. So what is the big deal now?????? Posted by: mr. wolf, non-esq at December 21, 2012 11:45 AM (WKqTF) 136
Wayne LaPierre for CIC!
(Just read the transcript of his speech) More people speaking to the press as he did: with authority and calling them out for their own culpability -is how to control the narrative and swing it back on track. Posted by: RondinellaMamma at December 21, 2012 11:47 AM (53riN) 137
Video games don't kill people either.
Posted by: Butters at December 21, 2012 11:43 AM (NIZHJ) But they are way more likely to turn an already distrurbed kid into a killer than a locked gun safe in the family home will.Adam Lanza smashed his computer to bits so nobody would find what he had been doing on it. There are snuff games out there on the deep web that probably include very realistic massacres in elementary schools. LaPierre cited one called "Kindergarten Killer" that his research staff found. How come we have heard nothing about this game before today? Posted by: rockmom at December 21, 2012 11:47 AM (aBlZ1) 138

"This is not our last stand, it is theirs. If we beat them back now, if we deny them their agenda and keep the lawmakers in line, we will sweep these people from the field. They will, like Custer, have underestimated our numbers and our ferocity. We will dog our lawmakers. They will be sick of hearing from us by the time this is over. Obama’s historical legacy will be a lousy economy, and an ineffective and bumbling second term. It is our time to show the weak and pitiful Republicans how this is done, and how you beat Obama." Yes please. Posted by: RWC at December 21, 2012 11:48 AM (fWAjv) 139

Dingy Harry likes being Majority Leader (he sucks d), but with 20 D seats up for vote in 2014, and at this point about 5 are vulnerable, he doesn't want any other ammunition used against his caucus in red or purple/red states. Zero may try to backdoor something through regulation, but that could be tied up in courts for the rest of his term. God I really hate politics, would rather be talking about boobehs, whiskey, sports, and other endeavors. FU zero.
